Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Good Value, Clean updated room Our stay was marred only by the excessive noise from the band in the top floor bar. Had we known we would have asked for a lower floor. Room service did not service the room after the first night. Having said that, the hotel has been updated and it is clean and the front desk was very hospitable. Had great rates for our group. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Etruscans Our group reserved a block of rooms. Everyone seemed to be saying the same thing. "The staff was very accommodating" "The rooms were large", The hotel has great views of downtown. The coffee pot in our room had old coffee in it but other than that the room was clean and very comfortable! January 22, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Superb management and staff - comfortable rooms During my business trips at the Holiday Inn-Mobile Downtown, my co-workers and I were provided with the most desirable accommodations in every way, i.e. price, parking, conference room, comfortable beds and inviting rooms. With my busy schedule, I was unable to make time for breakfast and was able to order room service which usually isn't available at most hotels I use for business trips. The service was extremely fast and the food was presented to me like a five star restaurant and was just as tasty. You can't go wrong with this hotel, especially if you have business downtown Mobile. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Convenience for the First Light Marathon Great location and services perfect for the night before the First Light Marathon . . . race start was directly outside the main entrance and the race expo was under 2 blocks away. Room service breakfast came exactly as requested which was very helpful, appreciated the complimentary wifi as well as TV channel selections. Room was directly in front of the elevator bank, but heard no noise which was great. Hotel was busy with marathoners and food wait time was slow because of that, but service was friendly and food decent. Would stay here again for the same reasons . . . perfect for my purposes! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Staff and comfortable room From check in to check out, everyone at this hotel was extremely helpful. My husband was running the marathon and he needs a hamburger at the half way point to keep his carbs and electrolytes in balance. The cook and staff at the restaurant supplied this request, even though breakfast was still being served. The servers were great and made sure we were happy with our food and service. There was a problem with the heating unit on our arrival, and after notifying the front desk we were moved to another room within matter of minutes. While we did not require complete room service during our stay, the staff checked to see if we required anything, and changed the sheets on our bed with smiles. The lady at the front desk with short white hair checked us in and checked us out, and was extremely helpful and friendly. And the view was fantastic. January 15, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 90th birthday celebration the hotel was very accomodating to me , my guests and cooperated in every way to make this a memorable weekend. there was only one small hitch. dinner was scheduled for 7 PM but was delayed until 7:45. Our open bar had to be extended an additional 45 minutes due to this delay. January 14, 2015
