Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by comfortable bed overall this hotel is not bad. Location are great. Two issues we had are the carpet near the air condition is wet. The sink drained very slowly. July 5, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Ants in the room Everything was good until the ants showed up. We found ants on the night table and the desk after my son left a candy wrapper, it took a couple of hours to have ants all over. July 3, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great room and breakfast. but the pool..... we love the Holiday Inn Mtl downtown. We go there when we need to stay in Mtl. The only thing I find disturbing is the pool and hot tub. They are not ( or do not seem) to be as clean as expected.... Both had a disturbing smell... I refused to let my granddaughter in, felt.... unclean and as many people use them.... I just walked away. Was disappointed, when in Mtl I always invite my granddaughter to stay with us, quality time is of the essence. She loved the breakfast and the fish but had I known that the pool area would have this aspect, I would of never told her about it.... July 2, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great locaion & staff, nice hotel. Would return! You can get anywhere in Montreal from here. The hotel is across the street & 1/2 block down to Place D'Armes Metro station inside the convention center with all it's daytime food shops. Also, the hotel is across from & directly walkable into Old Montreal and all it's shops, and restaurants/nightlife for the young, wealthy & beautiful. And, the hotel is right on the edge of Chinatown, so great Asian restaurants & shops are on your block and just beyond. From here, we walked further to the late night nightlife of pubs & food in the Ville Marie neighborhood St. Catherine's East & the Latin Quarter, and separately, we took the Metro to the Women's World Cup at the Olympic Stadium, as well as McGill, Berri-UQAM, St. Laurent, & Place-des-Artes stations to check out the huge restaurant & pub scene on St. Denis & St. Laurent Streets above Sherbrooke. This helped us break out of other cool areas which we had previously visited such as Crescent St restaurants. So, yeah, about the hotel; the staff was great, at least for the most part. They were very helpful on advising on area sights & getting around, even when trying to be sensitive to busy/peak times at the front desk & reception, the women at the front desk were great. Lobby is peaceful & beautiful with pond & walkway. Breakfast buffet was very good overall, and while pastries were mediocre the fresh fruits, eggs, noodles & all other stuff were fresh & good. Very efficient staff, though sad to see that almost nobody tipped these guys even on their comp Petit Dejeuner breakfasts. C'mon, people#. However, regarding the hotel bar, I would NOT recommend getting a drink here. AVOID the hotel bar unless you want to pay very high prices for shelf-quality cocktails; the only bourbon they had was Jim Beam,a medium-lower shelf bourbon, and they charged $20 CDN for a double. Really. That's insane. I questioned the bartender on this, asking if it was accurate, and he confirmed & defended the pricing. Out-stinkin'-rageous pricing for poor choices & shelf-quality bourbon. Lobby was beautiful with pond & walkways. Rooms were clean & bedding very comfortable. We'd easily stay here again & look forward to returning to Montreal & this hotel. July 2, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Funky Holiday Inn in China Town Super funky Holiday Inn in China Town Montreal. Not like any Holiday Inn I've ever stayed before. The pictures online do not reflect what the property actually looks like and the service was less than adequate. The pool/spa are dated as are the common areas. The bar is ok as long as you don't want anything more exotic than beer or wine. The rooms are clean and comfortable. For my money I wished I had stayed at another, more modern hotel near the Congress. July 1, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Confortable bed, great service My first stay. I was pleased with the Hotel. It was close to tourist destinations. June 30, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel and service I have stayed at this hotel numerous times. I love the location and the fact that it is in Chinatown and has many nice touches that remind you that you are in Chinatown. One of the things that I liked prior to my stay this time was the complimentary breakfast that they use to offer to Rewards members. It was a standard breakfast buffet but had a Chinese flair to it which I really enjoyed. In fact it was one of the reasons I stayed here so often. Alas, they have done away with that and instead offer points, bottled water and a bag of snacks. A far cry from the breakfast! But I am sure all businesses face finding cost cutting methods. Otherwise, a great hotel. I had trouble being in sync with the maid service and they never got to my room whenever I was out and only asked if they could straighten my room upon my return, By then, I did not want them to bother. I always removed the do not disturb sign from my door when I went out and usually that was enough of a hint but not this time over 3 days. June 29, 2015
