Most of the property is now a college dorm. Good deal for the hotel and the kids, bad for travelers. Used to be my hotel of choice when I was in Pittsburgh. Now it's noisy, and the water pressure is very low. Breakfast was so-so. I have another reservation in December that will be cancelled.

This hotel is now owned by a local college and they have very few rooms available for business travelers as most of the hotel is housed for college students. I am a priority platinum member and in the past I received a room at the top level where its nice and quiet for business travelers. Not the case this time. Now I had a lower level room. The A/C was not working properly and I could not be moved to another room because it was sold out. I was told I could switch to one other room before another guest checked it but I could hear screaming kids in the room next door to this room so I said no thanks.
I will not stay here again. I dont have an interest in staying in a college dorm.

The Holiday Inn PITTSBURGH-INTL AIRPORT offers great service and a great package for the frequent traveler. Would highly recommend the Holiday Inn PITTSBURGH-INTL AIRPORT to anyone who asks.

Service and staff were exellent. Pool is very oudated, no hot tub or sauna services. Had a gift store that was never opened in the 6 nights we stayed. Not a value for what you pay and what you get.

I always associate holiday inn with a high quality stay, friendly staff, and exceptional service. I have stayed at various holiday inns and other hotels across the nation and this was a very unimpressive stay. We stayed there after a wedding instead of driving the 30+ minutes home, we should have driven home. The bed was uncomfortable, the lines were poor, the bathroom was sub par-the curtain wasn't long enough to contain the water from the shower so there was a flood in the bathroom. Some of our friends stayed across the parking lot at the Hampton and had a much better experience and room condition for less.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by rozzy1967 The dirtiest room ever!
I travel for my job and stay in hotels about 50 nights a year. I was in the process of moving to the Pittsburgh area and needed a hotel by the airport that was affordable. I booked two rooms for two nights and it was the third worst experience of my life! The hotel is owned by the local university and run by students. There are actually floors that are dorms, but the dorms are not the problem. The staff is the problem. They have no idea how to run a hotel and have no experience in the hospitality industry at all. Checking in was like waiting to see the queen, I was on THEIR time. Then the room was the dirtiest ever. The carpets were damp and my socks turned black within 30 minutes of being in the room. I asked for a new room and was moved, but that room was not much better. The pool was falling apart and the entire hotel was in disrepair. I have reported it to Holiday Inn and suggested that this hotel is ruining their brand and should not be allowed to carry the Holiday Inn brand. Never again. I now live here and I tell everyone my story and why they need to be sure their friends avoid this hotel.
