Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great staff!! Easily accessible by metro Hotel staff were very professional. Everyone of them. I just saw smiling warm faces trying to assist me in everything. I would like to thank each of the staff especially DARYA, who helped me on my first night reach the hotel from airport when I couldn't by myself, by sending a taxi to pick me up and calling me on the telephone in every step to make sure everything was going well. Also to Anna for her great assistance, patience and smiling face when my wishes should have bothered her a great deal. True hospitality! I really felt I made the best choice for my Moscow stay by choosing this hotel with a great staff. I will come again. September 5, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Week in Moscow I spent a week in Holiday Inn Simonovski Val. It was good stay. I got excellent executive room with good bed an comfortable working desk. Breakfast was OK and staff was great. The only issue is relatively remote place, but it is possible to have walk around, there are 2 very nice monasteries in walking distance. Metro station is about 400m away. September 5, 2014

They should also conside the cost of arranging taxis to the train stations, one flat rate irregardless of a train station 1.5 kilometers from Hotel (Paveletskaya) or many kilometers away, Belarus or the train station for the high speed train to Vunukovo August 5, 2014

I love to stay in Holiday Inn's in Moscow, and usually I do it Suschevsky since in Simonovsky it's hard to get a room due to the capacity of the building. And now, here I'm, happy to check in at 5:00AM. As usual, I've left a deposit for use of minibar, restaurant, etc., but later on next day I've been told by not very friendly restaurant staff that there is no deposit on my room (it was early morning, but I clearly remember dialing PIN number at the reception). It happened to be that staff at reception had actually took a deposit, but forgot to activate it... ok, that's no a big deal! Later on I had some shirts to be washed and ironed in hotel laundry - I've received them in plastic transparent bag, all clean and fresh, with marking of my room using blue marker. on the bag Next day I had to go to business meeting with one of the shirts, and when I've actually had putted it on, I've noticed two small points from the same blue marker - since I've had no time to argue about it, I've decided to wash it off myself upon return home... not a big deal after paying bunch of money for such hotel service! But the top of everything (actually it is why I'm writing this report) is the cleaning level same day I've returned after my meetings: a) I've could still sense the smell of sweat of cleaning staff even if room is air conditioned; b) bathroom floor looked proper, apart from the fact that there was some long black hair, I'm guessing, of same staff member after the bathroom was cleaned; c) no towels were in the room - not dirty, not clean... none! Conclusion: next time when I'll come to Moscow, I'll really think twice before booking room in Simonovsky even if ambiance inside is much better than in Suschevsky. July 20, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great staff makes this hotel stand out I have stayed here several times and have never felt disappointed. The rooms are large and comfortable, clean and tidy but its the staff that make this place special - its very well run but always retains a personal touch. Do yourself a favour: if you want a hotel that's a good location for the centre, with good facilities and great staff to look after you then go for this. You wont be disappointed. July 8, 2014

Only point to be improved is the food , not in terms of quality ( which is good ) but in terms of choice , which is very limited , according to me , for the level of the hotel . April 30, 2014

Both times - one night stay and both times this was enjoyable stay. Helpfull and warm welcome personnel. Comfortable room and quality bed. The hotel in overall look new or renovated, very pleasant room design. A bit less light than I would like to have, but staying for night sleep is very satisfactory. December 29, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Helpful Just stayed at this Hotel for three nights and the staff were extrememly helpful and polite. The Hotel met my expectations. I encountoured a problem that was cuased by the IHG Group themsleves and not the hotel, but the Manager responded excellently and resolved the issue. A couple of small points to assit the hotel: When emailing guests the direction to the Hotel it would be helpful to include the Russian spelling of the Metro Stations and not just the translation as this would make the journey from the Airport easier as the Metro only has the Russian spellings displayed. Also maybe they could put a printer on the Computer in the reception area so guests can book in on line and print their boarding passes. I had to email the Reception the boarding passes and they printed them, which was no hassle it would just make it easier for the reception staff if guests could print the passes themselves. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Blown Away What an incredible experience! The room was larger than my apartment back home, the location close to downtown and my company's office, and the food was excellent. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. the only complaint I have (if you could call it that) is the level of English spoken by the front desk. I understand that waiters and waitresses may be limited in their knowledge of English, once you stray from the menu or talk of food, but the people specfically trained to make you feel at home? It was a little frustrating to feel like I was talking to a beginner in English, when his badge tells me that he's fluent in three languages. Other than that, an excellent Holiday Inn. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Best HI hotel in Moscow Don't want to say much but HI Simonovsky is the best IHG (not only HI) hotel in Moscow so far for the reasons described in "Pros" section, but generally it wins when comparing money/value ratio against other IHG hotels in Moscow area. From Platinum IHG membership (probably also Gold) things you get free chocolates in minibar:), upgraded room but e.g. there is no Executive Lounge. But generally IMHO, Simonovsky is very cozy and I feel like at home when staying there... July 9, 2013

The staff included head of customer service did a mistake, agree with it, create a big problem for me but... absolutely don't want to do anything to decide and do anything to help me and do anything to provide any solutions for me... Staff is attentive and friendly. Location next to Metro Proletarskaja is very convenient. Free internet is slow and not ideal for quick mail checks, but at least it is available. Price is ok for Moscow, not cheap. In general it is a good place for business trips where I have been a frequent guest for 3 years now. I enjoy my stays there. November 28, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Some good, some not so good. Front desk staff were polite and helpful. Bar staff were mixed: some pleasant, some acted as if they were doing you a favor to serve you. Housekeeping staff were not friendly at all. Room was clean, but lighting was insufficient. Mini-bar, by design, makes it impossible to keep anything in it from a convenience store: no room, unless you pull out a service item and are automatically charged for it. Limited English cable TV channels. The fitness room was closed for a week without advanced notice (well, one days notice). Laundry service was professional, but expensive. "High speed internet" was deathly slow...very frustrating. Breakfast was good. Other restaurant entres were so-so. November 13, 2012
