Quality room for a quick stay driving through Illinois. Buffet breakfast was nice too and everyone was friendly.

The outside looks nice but the inside is dated and needs to be upgraded. The breakfast was no so great either.

This Holiday Inn treated us, members, very well. We had free breakfast and the USA Today at our door the next morning. The food was good as well as the service.

I LOVE HOLIDAY INNS.... but I would never recommend this hotel even though most of the staff were very nice and accommodating. We arrived late in the evening, watched a bit of TV and went to sleep. When we awoke we were surprised to find beetles throughout the room. I noticed the first two, about 1' long, on the bath room floor. Then I started looking around. I saw 4 by the door. all were about 1/2 dead on their backs. I was so creeped out that I stopped looking around. My husband called the front desk and they told us that someone would talk to us when we checked out.. We couldn't eat there. I check thru every bag and I'm praying we were through enough. I found 1 small bug in a bag that I had on the floor. I will tell you now that I wanted a full refund for the joy of sleeping with the bugs. I spoke to 3 people before the business manager arrived. He ask if we were talking about the 'little' bugs.He said they were harmless and the whole town had a problem with these 'little' bugs. We asked if he had them in his home and he said yes... to which I replied... well I don't and I won't pay for a room that does. He said since we slept in the room all night we had to pay for it, we should have told him last night. To which I replied we didn't see them last night. He then told us that they were 'ground' bugs and since our room was on the ground floor we had to expect that the bugs would come in. Wha????
At that point I took my bill back, left the hotel . As I was leaving he yelled 'well we're just normal folks here'. I called Corporate office from my cell and spoke to a very helpful woman. I told her my whole story and she said agreed that I was due a refund. We were ending a 9 day vacation and spent every night in other HOLIDAY INNS. I know this is not even close to their norm and I thank the woman I spoke to for caring about their overall image.

This Holiday Inn is easy to get to off the highway. Room was clean and I got a good night sleep. Breakfast can use much improvement. What restaurant doesn't have Splenda for their coffee? Regular coffee was not labeled. Food is allowed to sit out until it dries and gets hard. Waitress had a dollar under several salt and pepper shakers on tables to give the impression that all these tips were left for a buffet style breakfast that was not so good. The hotel can use some remodeling to keep up with all the other Holiday Inns. Its a good place to catch some sleep but I will be going somewhere else for breakfast next time.

Will not stay here again. Smoking is allowed, breakfast was mediocre, one of the elevators didn't work, and the hotel smelled disgusting. I would have drove on to the next town had I known how bad this hotel would be.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel with our three cats mid-way through our 25-hour two-day drive cross-country relocation to Virginia from Colorado. We are forever grateful to find this hotel which welcomed us with our furry feline threesome and gave us shelter and rest to prepare for the second day of our journey. Bless you.

It was a good hotel. Very nice inside. Hotel beds are never perfect, but they really can't be perfect for everyone. Beds were comfortable enough. Everything worked. Good hotel.
