We were traveling cross country. I like to stay at Holiday Inn because of their reward program and past experiences I have had.
The price was attractive so we stopped for the night. The people at the desk were very business like. They gave you the feeling like, I have taken care of you now go away. After answering a question they would turn their back on you like you are now dismissed. I was looking for a place in the area to eat and they were "0" help. Using Yelp I was able to locate a place. I got in the hot tub in the pool area but did not feel comfortable as the water looked as if it should of been changed several days ago. I got out and spent some time in the pool. This hotel would be much nicer but needs a face lift especially on the inside.
The breakfast looked to be great. Lots of selection of the foods I liked. The disappointment was, hot food is supposed to be kept at 140 degrees. The food they served was cold. While I doubt it would make you sick it was not pleasant to eat. With the exception of the gravy.
The deciding factor for me not staying there again was the attitude of the staff.

I stopped by this hotel on a previous trip and just saw the outside. It looked up to date and well kept. Upon my return, I found a different experience within the room. Before I complain about the accommodations, I must say the lady at the front desk was super. She was friendly and would most likely have found us another room if I had asked. We were only staying one night, and saw that the hotel was pretty busy due to the shooting event in the area, so we didn't bother. Now for the room.....the floors were lumpy and felt dirty under barefoot; the ceiling had leaked at some point and the finish was torn off in places and browned in other; the tile in the bathroom was no longer white and in some places cracked and blackened; the air conditioner system did not cool as much as it should have; the walls were so thin that my headboard rattled each time the person in the next room sat down on their bed; and the door would only shut if you pushed in hard. As I said before, we didn't complain as there was nothing that we couldn't live with for one night, but we have come to expect nicer and better kept properties from our past experiences with Holiday Inn properties. I spoke to another guest staying in the room above us and their experience was similar to mine leaving me to believe the entire property could use some repairs.
