My Brother and I had a great stay at the hotel. The service was excellent and the bed extremely comfortable. Booking again for next years Oktoberfest.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by robh0123 Excellent all round stay
We stayed here as part of a touring holiday and this was the best hotel.
The staff were helpful and efficient. We spent a modest additional sum on a package which included a Bavarian style room, breakfast and included use of the minibar. This was well worthwhile and the minibar facility would be particularly useful if you have children.
It is worth noting that if you want to eat out, there are several places, all about 10-15 mins walk away in what is quite a nice residential area. These are either German or Italian restaurants, the Italian ones are likely to cost you about 50% more. There is nowhere else obvious to get breakfast so this is best prebooked with the hotel.
Breakfast quality was excellent and we particularly liked the fact that a pot of coffee was provided on each table and replenished on request. This contrasted favourably with other hotels which relied upon self-service machines, which mean that you are always getting up from the table.
Overall a very good stay, our thanks to the staff.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Eamador Did not reach the expectations.
The room was so small like an Ibis (imagine that), the fridge was disconnected with no possibility to use it, even calling to the reception.
The wi-fi was no cheap and the attitude of the ladies of the staff was not the best.
I will no return again. One night before I was also at Holiday Inn Nuremberg and the service and room were much more better.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Bobby4598 Pretty far from public transport
Breakfast is very expensive for what you get. I would have expected it to be in the room rate.
Also, should include detail about how to get there on the S-Bahn from the airport as its not well served by public transport

Well Munich isn't cheap and it's hard to get hotels some times. This one is a bit of a walk from the train station but it's not that long to travel to the centre of the city. No free wireless in the rooms which in a city as sophisticated and business like as Munich is inexcusable. There are free computers in the foyer though which worked fine.
It's a bit out of the way this hotel and be aware that if you're trying to catch a flight in early evening leave plenty of time because of traffic jams in both directions on the main road outside the hotel. Not much in the way of restaurants nearby but the in hotel one was a very pleasant surprise. A decent and fairly good value meal, substantial size and creative.
Room decor, well, it's interesting and quirky in a way. It looks a bit dated in some respects being all brown solid wood throughout the entire room, including the 4 poster bed, but it's traditional and a nice touch, just for being different. Nto the most comfortable to sit on though.
Staff were very helpful with a nice touch of bringng up a small welcome gift.
Munich isn't a place for cheap accommodation generally and while this hotel is at the cheaper end of the scale it can still be expensive. Compared to similar hotels in the area though, it's better value.

We had a lovely stay at the Holiday Inn Munich! Super breakfast buffet, great food at the restaurant Stueberl and overall friendly service. Sleeping in these beds is like sleeping in heaven!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Sfoote Priority Club
I fail to see any advantage to Priority Club. This hotel did not include Breakfast (21 Euro), parking was extra (18 Euro) and no Free Wireless access(8 Euro) . I would have had to pay more for the extras than I did for the room.
I was woke up at 8 am by house keeping knocking on the door when my check out was not until 11:00.

the hotel states it is on a metro line. truth be told it was more than a mile away. it also stated that a taxi ride from the metro if you do not want to walk the "less than a mile"is 600Euro. again, the truth is 770Euro at least.
there was no wireless, no refrigerator and no english t.v. with only three or four german channels.
no restaurants nearby.
bad bad bad choice
bad bad bad advertising on their part!

The room had an odd odor to it. Unpleasant. A number of items in the room were not functioning including the clock (part of the TV - the digits were not readable). There was not one English language TV channel (e.g. BBC or CNN). When checking in, they gave me my room card and it did work. When I returned to "checkin" and asked what the number was, they confirmed what I spoke. Again, I went to the room and the door was open with a family occupying it. Again, I returned to reception. They had written the number on the card incorrectly or very poorly written. In general, the hotel does not seem handle international travelers well (I have stayed at other Holiday Inns in Munich and the staff has much better English language skills, have international English news channels, and furnishing that are not in disrepair). They do share the common feature of other holiday inns in Munich. Slow Internet connection.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Chucha Good location
We spent a three-day vacation in this hotel. Good location, not far from the City Center, very quiet. The room with two queen beds was unsuitable for a family with two babies. Also we were surprised to findout that a baby cot is a complimentary service (25 Euro/day!) - the information that we did not have prior to arrival, although we requested the cot in advance. The overall experience was good.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Willis101 Great Service, pricey
We (a business team of 5) stayed for two nights at the tail end of Oktoberfest - the staff were very friendly, particularly in the bar with knowledgable recommendations on beers and food, and extremely high standard of English. Room cleanliness was excellent, and though no free wifi in rooms, there was free internet access and a printer in the lobby.
However, there were problems with noise from rowdy guests which went on until the early hours (2am) despite intervention from hotel night staff. The walls appear to be very thin in this hotel - I could hear next doors shower running and coat hangers banging, and corridor noise, so was glad that I always travel with a pair of earplugs. Breakfast was very good, buffet style, but expensive (per person almost what i'd expect to pay for a good fry up for all 5 of us in the UK) on top of the already hiked room prices - very high considering the out of town location.
