Die zentrale Lage, direkt über der S-Bahn-Station Rosenheimer-Platz war eigentlicher Grund für unsere Buchung - aber wir wurden von der Herzlichkeit der Mitarbeiter überrascht. Schon die Dame von der Rezeption begrüßte uns freundlich und trotz vieler Gäste in der Hotelhalle erhielten wir schnell unseren Zimmerschlüssel. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Blick über die Altstadt - einziger Kritikpunkt ist der alte Fernseher. Wirklich empfehlenswert ist das Frühstückbuffet mit reichhaltiger Auswahl und auch hier ausgesprochen nettes Personal am Restauranteingang.

The Bed was very small.
The Room temperature was not really to control.
The Breakfast was of a very poor quality.
As reference, I am travelling worldwide since about 20 Years and can compare

As usual booked into the hotel at short notice, I don't feel I need to check anything, as I know it will be right on the night, If there are any hick ups they are sorted out swiftly and with out any fuss.
I'm a loyal fan of this Hotel chain.

We had a conference at the hotel which was very well organised. Guest rooms and Meeting rooms were good, Food was very tasty and and service was always friendly. I would recommend this hotel for anyone that is looking for a very good meeting hotel in Munich.

We had a 2 day stay at this hotel ,the Hotel charged for everything extra 30 Euro for Internet 18 Euro for a Breakfast we never had 20 euro for parking ,booked 1000 Bonus point package but not get them ,however the restaurant was good and the l
location great.
Rooms are clean but basic. The sleep quality not great because of the matress

We had a crisis. Daughter, who lives in Munich was planning to bake a birthday cake for our grandaughter's first birthday (afternoon of Monday April 1st) and her husband had used all the eggs to paint them for Easter Sunday. Not even the petrol staion next door had eggs. We were staying at the Holiday Inn and asked if they could help and they did. The ballon design, sugar free carrot cake was delicious and looked impressive thanks to your receptionist and chef who gave us some eggs.

the location is excellent. 4 stops to marienplatz, connection from hotel to s-bahn. room 7th floor nice and comfortable. staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast very good.

Ich habe das Hotel bereits mehrmals besucht. Der große Vorteil ist hier die Lage. Dies besonders für Bahnreisende. Vom Hauptbahnhof aus nur wenige Stationen mit der S-Bahn bis zum Rosenheimer Platz. Aussteigen Richtung Gasteig. Von dort gibt es einen direkten Zugang übers Einkaufszentrum direkt ins Hotel. (ausgeschildert)
Von daher eignet sich das Hotel für alle, die mit dem ÖPNV unterwegs sind. Besser geht es fast nicht.
Ansonsten ist das Gebäude zweckmässig, von den Dimensionen her schon recht gross. Die Zimmer sind ruhig und komfortabel. Das Frühstück ordentlich. Tipp: beim Frühstücksraum bis hinten durch gehen. Der erste Raumteil ist meist sehr voll, hinten jedoch ist in der Regel Platz und mehr Ruhe.

Overall I really enjoyed my stay here. I spent a weekend here with my boyfriend and we both thought it was comfortable and really convenient (great access to public transport). There was lots of information about things to do and restaurants to eat at which was really helpful as we didn't know the area very well. Plus we didn't have to queue to ask the staff everytime as all the information was on machines.
The only issue was that we booked a double room and arrived to find a twin room instead. So we brought all of our stuff back down only to be told there was no double rooms available. They did offer to send someone in to push the beds together and this was done by the time we got back to the room which was impressive. However it would have been nice had we been told upon arrival instead of being surprised like that. Also I would have expected that as we had booked well in advance that we would have been given the room we had been told was available.
Despite this the trip was a great success and I don't think we could have found a nicer, more convenient hotel with such lovely staff. I would definitely recommend it!

I visit a family member in Munich almost every year, so I'm kind of know what to expect from German hotel and also, as a Priority Club member, know what to expect from Holiday Inn.
The cleanliness of the German hotels is a known fact, so I took it for granted, but everything else what should and expected to be there, was not!
To start with Internet. $35 for Internet??? Last year I stayed in small boutique Munich hotel and Internet was free. I guess, small hotel can afford it, but not the Holiday Inn.
Bathroom supplies are limited to cream hand wash and cream body wash (shampoo, conditioner and body wash all-in-one?!#. There is no body lotion and shower cap provided, either. I was lucky to have my own.
Now, can anyone tell me why should hair dryer be attached to the drawer in your room? Every time I need to use it my husband enjoyed the noise of it instead of watching TV. By the way there is only CNN channel in English, all the rest in German.
Also, my hair curler as well as my daughter's #stayed in different room) got burned. I know we were supposed to use wattage transformers, but used only outlet adapters as I used them for years in all other Munich hotels and never experienced any damages to my electrical appliances. Even my husband's IPhone was broken and had to be replaced by ATT when we were back home. ATT and Apple couldn't determine the reason for the damage, but we did not tell them about our own suspicion.
And how about the breakfast for $23 for a person and parking for $21?
And as a final accord, when I was checking out, there was a mistaken charge for somebody else's beer on my invoice, since on manual invoice handwritten number "6" looked like "0".
My conclusion: to avoid all the disappointments and frustration I will never stay In Holiday Inn Munich Centre again. And don't say I didn't warn you!

The location is very good, the rooms are very clean.
Good options for breakfast and a nice bar for a drink.
We reserved one doble and a one single bed but they gave us 3 singles.

I always use this hotel when travelling to Munchen, straight off the S-Bahn from the airport via Rosenheimer Platz S-bahn stop.
The rooms are clean and with the right location just a few minutes from city center.
The only let down is as many others have said a outdated television system, but it is promised to be renewed this year so I guess I will see for myself the next time I come by.

In 2013, free internet is a must. Also CRT television is not what I would expect from a hotel of Holliday Inn standard. There is only two english tv channels, even though many guests are international. 23 euro for breakfast is expensive and the breakfast room is crowded.
To summarize this: I only stay at Holliday Inn when I cannot get a hotel with free internet. Free internet is priority no. 1

Ein sehr gutes Hotel, sehr zentral gelegen. Für jeden das richtige der München erkunden möchte. Direkt am Gasteig mit S-Bahn Anbindung zu allen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Der Service war hervorragend und das Essen ein Traum. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und viel. Für jeden etwas dabei. Von Müsli über warme Speisen. Frisches Obst und kleine Kuchen. Sogar für Laktose Intoleranz Gäste wurde bestens gesorgt. Daumen hoch und wir werden immer wieder kommen. Danke nochmal an das ganze Team.

My daughter and enjoyed staying at this Holiday Inn. It was very clean and comfortable. The staff was helpful and breakfast was delicious. Their is a small shopping area and the trains connected to this hotel. We easily got around the city this way. I recommend this hotel for your next stay in Munich!

A good location with an indoor swimming pool & gym, the rooms were clean & comfortable.
Food was repetitive and bland, No WiFi in rooms but business centre had 2 good computers available.
Television channels limited to international news.

I stayed for 6 nights, help desk are helpful and very friendly. Rooms are spacious and room service was very clean and tidy. The location is very good with 5 minutes walk to underground station.

My experience at this hotel was very hit and miss. Some of the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Others were simply cordial but not warm, and while they did their job, they didn't seem to truly care.
The wifi connection was also spotty at best, and when I tried to bring this to the hotel's attention, nothing was done. I was on my way out for the evening when I reported it, and they said their technician could not check the connection unless I was in the room. So I paid 35 EUROS for 7 days of wifi, and I would say it only worked 30% of the time I needed it.
Similar experience with the bar in the lobby - some nights, the bartenders/wait staff were great, pouring strong drinks and giving great service. Other nights, they were inattentive and the drinks were weak.
But the beds were comfortable and the cleaning staff did a good job.
