The room was comfortable and we used the fitness room and the restaurant as well. For the price, it was a great value! December 17, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great location I attended a Drake Software seminar at this hotel. I stayed 2 nights. My expectations were not that great because I had read conflicting reviews. However, I did not encounter any problems. I enjoyed my stay. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The food served at the seminar was very good. Also, it was conveniently located near the airport. We had flown in on Southwest and used the hotel shuttle service. The hotel staff recommended other excellent transportation options for the evenings when we wanted to go downtown or out to eat. Yes, the hotel is currently undergoing renovations, but none of that affected my stay. My room was a little outdated on the furnishings but it was clean and comfortable. They are renovating, so if I stay again, hopefully, all this will be completed!! December 16, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stay! This was by far one of the best Holiday Inn hotels I've stayed in. From the time I stepped foot into the shuttle I knew it was going to be a great visit. I stay in many hotels throughout the year and this definitely qualify as top tier in my opinion. The staff really helped us out big time with providing excellent information and spot on directions to and from different locations. No complaints at all. Very professional group.The bed was very comfortable, room lightning was excellent and noise level was completely silent. I enjoyed my stay here and will be back next year for UT opening game!!! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Close to the airport and good value too! Flight cancelled and stuck in Nashville for a short night. The Holiday Inn turned out to be a great choice for a few hours. The staff was wonderful. The food at the restaurant was tasty. The service was slow however and they ran out of shrimp and grits by 6:30 PM. A free shuttle to the airport is available, but if you have a very early flight, be careful because the driver doesn"t arrive on duty until 5 AM when a sooner time was promised. December 15, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by 20 minutes for my shower to get, well almost warm... To say my trip to Nashville was the worst business trip of my 25 year career would be an understatement. Without going into a ton of details, what was supposed to be a fly down in the AM, return in the PM trip turned into a unexpected overnight. Add to this the the fact the President was in town and it was downhill from mid-day. I was able to schedule a return flight leaving at 6 AM. I made arrangements for a local taxi to pick me up at 4:30 AM (The hotel shuttle only starts at 5 AM). When I awoke at 3:50 AM I turned the shower on. Only cold water came out. Checked the sink... the same. I let the shower run for 20 minuted before I finally succumbed to the idea I would have a cold sponge shower. For ten more minutes I stood in the back of the tub and managed to rinse myself. In that time the water managed to get only slightly warmer, but not warm enough to stand completely in, and given the temperature, washing my hair was simply not an option. I guess the 14th floor was too far up for the water to climb. I am a Platinum Priority Club member and spend 100 nights a year traveling. I probably will not be staying here again. December 14, 2014
