Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Room needs to be remodeled The room was on the fourth floor and directly over air vents that were extremely noisy. The couch in the room looked old and dirty. The smell of laundry was very strong from down stairs. I would not recommend staying at this time. November 6, 2014

He is an excellent manager who takes immediate action to make sure the stay is 100% excellent. He is a can-do manager and we appreciated his attention to detail and for providing us with his cell number. It is folks like Mr. Henry that knows how to treat a customer to build a lifetime relationship, so s/he returns to do repeat business. He knows the value and importance of customer service. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pleasant staff and excellent location This hotel is only about 20 blocks from all the action downtown and right on the campus of Vanderbilt Univ and surrounded by hospitals and it makes a great location. The shuttle service is great as they run you downtown or wherever needed and give you a phone number to call when you need pick up. The drivers are very friendly. The breakfast is excellent and if you get the buffet you can still have orders sent out from the kitchen. The lounge is going most of the night with people singing and playing instruments hoping to be discovered some day. A lot to do around the area. October 29, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Poor value Considering the cost per night one would naturally expect 5 star or at least 4 star amenities. There is no coffee in the room, and the coffee sold at coffee stand is worse than fast food restaurants. I saw many people who would leave the hotel and drive to Starbucks . Clearly this one point is a deficiency. Although I stayed for only two nights I found myself and family blockaded from the room by the cleaning carts left in the middle of the hallway. I had to move them just to squeeze by. Additionally the carpet in dark and narrow hallways is worn, dirty,and in disrepair. The lobby has a small television area which restricts viewing to a corporate selected station. Schizophrenic station. Unable to watch any football on Saturday or Sunday in lounge area with "sports bar closed" Old hotel, rooms renovated to acceptable standards but clearly not worth the current nightly charge. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not impressed The room was dated- the carpet and walls were dirty. The shelf in the shower was broken. Overall, it didn't feel "clean." The walls are also thin. I could hear the people's conversation in the room next to mine in the middle of the night. I assumed because of the events going on in town they jacked the price up- it was double the average price per night suggested on a third party website. Staff was nice/helpful. October 15, 2014

For more music and restaurants, the hotel has a free shuttle with a friendly, knowledgeable and helpful driver. I stay in a dozen or more hotels each year and this is one of the best. The only area I'd say needs to be addressed is the food concession in the lobby. My coffee was terrible and full of grounds, my bagel was worse than McDonalds and the prices were high. I understand the prices but there's no excuse for a high volume hotel to have less than fast food quality. October 13, 2014

Although DCS no longer has a direct billed account here I choose to stay here and get repaid later. It is like coming home everytime I come here. The staff at the front desk are always so friendly and helpful. I am excited about seeing updates to the hotel, especially for new mattresses and a newer AC system. The older units on the walls never stay cool during the night but I alwaysbring my fan with me. October 10, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Clean and Friendly My son had an appointment at Vanderbilt. We stayed the night before the appointment. We did not take the shuttle but a shuttle was offered to and from the appointment. That was a nice surprise. When we first entered our room, you could smell that it had been newly remodeled. The room was very nice and very clean. We did have to ask for another room because of the new smell since my son has asthma. The front desk was very friendly had moved us quickly. Our room was on the back side of the property, giving us a view of the Vanderbilt football stadium. Staff was very friendly and helpful during our stay. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Place- Wonderful Location We try to stay at this hotel every year during football season. If you are an SEC fan this is the perfect location for a Vandy game. You can just step out on your balcony and tailgate inside with the comforts of air-conditioning, bathrooms and parking privileges. A special thanks to Cathy and the housekeeping staff. I left my phone charger and she found it and mailed it immediately. We had a wonderful stay in Nashville and this is the perfect location if you plan to go a Vandy game! October 2, 2014
