Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Going to the hospital When I booked the reservation 4days in advanced I told reservation that we were going to be there for my 8 month old granddaughter surgery. They never offered me a discount nor did they exnoloage that they had one. I booked two rooms one for me and one for my granddaughter and her mother and father. There was all kind of construction going on and we had late check out because of leaving at 5 in the mornig for the surgery, but could not go back and rest for the noise. I try to only stay at Holiday inn but this was not my best experance. January 23, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Once renovation is complete, I'd stay anytime The hotel itself is wonderful! It is very clean and the employees are all very nice. I had issues trying to get into the building because of the renovation, but once the renovation is complete, the hotel will definitely be a top choice for me the next time I'm in Nashville. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hotel, renovations unnecessary I stay at this hotel frequently in Nashville. They just finished renovations and I have to admit I am disappointed. The lobby used to be so beautiful. It had a classy clean feel with white marble throughout. Now its dark, and where the desk once was there are podiums for check in/out. Its a little awkward. The rooms were also "updated". I'm not sure why they felt this was necessary either. They are nice as they were before, but the bathroom lighting is awful. I have to go into the room now and use the wall mirror to do my makeup. I absolutely love this Holiday Inn, and the staff is always fabulous. I was just shocked that they felt the need to renovate. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful experience Even although the hotel is undergoing renovation, it does not affect your stay - the renovations are neat and orderly, no sound disturbances. The staff is fantastic and the shuttle service amazing. Everyone was so knowledgeable and helpful, especially the shuttle service people. New updated rooms are fantastic and well thought out. My room was comfortable and my stay was a pleasant one. It is true, though, that people make the difference in your travel experience, and this stay was a stellar one because of the staff. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not a fan I booked on the ipad ap. Did not see that the hotel was under construction. What a mess. I am glad I only stayed one night. The shuttle service was a nice touch, but the driver was rude. I would not stay at this location again. When I voiced my concerns of the construction to the manager, his only comment was, " This was noted on the website" He is correct, I checked it later, but when I booked on the ipad ap I did not see see any info about the construction. I will be the first to say I might have missed this note.. I hope the upgrades will be an improvement for future guests. January 18, 2015
