We stayed at the Holiday Inn for 4 days on vacation to visit Nashville. The shuttle to and from downtown was great and very helpful. The hotel and room was clean and comfortable. The bathrooms appeared to be newly remodeled. We stayed in a double room with a great view from the 14th floor. My only complaint with the room with the double bed was the heat/air conditioner was blowing directly on us while laying in bed closest to the heater.
Overall the staff was very friendly and we had a great stay.

I am a nurse who frequents this establishment weekly. I have always been given quality, caring service. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The entire staff are kind and responsive at all times. I would recommend this hotel to everyone!!

The hotel stay was good. The location is good, but not super close to the Nashville honky tonks many tourists come to see. It is possible to walk to them, but it's a good trip. Taxi is cheap to anywhere from here. The only complaint was the guy at the coffee bar in the morning. He was very rude. Apparently he was closing, but did not tell the two people standing in front of him, We stood there waiting for him to finish what he was doing in the register for 5 minutes, when he finally snaps, "I'm closed, you can buy food, but I'm not making anymore drinks." That kind of ruined my view of the place. Other than that, the room is nice and the location is central. I would stay again.

Had a great stay at this Holiday Inn and would definitely recommend. I loved the midtown area and the shuttle was great for times when we wanted to go to crazy downtow. The shuttle drivers were awesome!

Staff was very helpful and polite. The location is very good. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was adequate. But when the room's heating system periodically came on, it was noisy, making it tough to sleep. Facility probably needs an upgrade-- for instance, there was no easy-to-reach soap dish for the shower.

I had 6 rooms with my family everyone was very happy, hotel clean, great location, all staff helpful, loved the van driver didnt even mind the chicago bears fans. Great city great time Thankyou

I have stayed at this inn on my trips to Nashville for several years because of the van rides to downtown, the best breakfast buffet, friendly staff and atmosphere, free parking and nice rooms with refrigerator and microwave. At this stay I was told that the free breakfast is no longer provided for government employees. What an insult to a regular customer! If we are to be treated as second class guests I will take my business elsewhere.

I went to Vanderbilt for my reunion and stayed at the HI. I've been here before. It's not luxurious but it's clean and comfortable. Great location and free parking (unlike their neighbor next door). The manager and front desk can't be beat. I called ahead of time and spoke to Britney because I was worried I would get stuck due to Sandy. (I did but went to a friend's). She was so helpful and upbeat. While in Nashville I met Shannon, who also works at the front desk. They always greeted us with smiles, laughs, and were very reassuring when I was starting to get very worried about my possible circumstance. They also worked with me on the rate should I have stayed for the week. I have other friends who stayed at the HI and got stranded, and they raved about the customer service when I saw them for dinner during the week. All in all, I'd recommend staying here.

We stayed there due to dr. appointments at Vanderbilt. It is a great place to stay, clean , comfortable, good service , Only problem is they don't have a free continental breakfast, but there's a mcdonalds directly across the street much cheaper than the hotel. Very good place to stay.

We were visiting our new granddaughter at VU Hospital and found the hotel very convenient for this. The room was clean and well appointed, bed comfortable, staff friendly, parking easy. We visited the commodore lounge in the evening and enjoyed the entertainment ...seemed a good representation of Nashville singer songwriter scene.

i stayatthishoteloften, because of location, great service, and convenient parking. The whole experience was different only last stay. There must be a real change in management or personnel - both my husband and I were surprised by the stark change, or lack of service. May not want to publish this!

I am a federal employee. When I checked in, I was informed that there would be no free breakfast buffet as a part of my stay. One of the things I really liked about this hotel was the outstanding breakfast buffet offered to federal employees. Now I am expected to pay $6.45 plus tax for a lousy breakfast sandwich and a cup of coffee? Nope - and you have lost my business at this hotel forever more...

On several trips to Nashville in the past few years I have chosen to stay at the Holiday Inn Vanderbilt/Downtown. The desk staff is efficient, pleasant, and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and always clean. The location is convenient to Vanderbilt Univ. and a 8-10 minute drive to music attractions of downtown Nashville (Ryman Auditorium, Country Music Hall of Fame, and the honky tonks of Lower Broadway. The hotel is also walking distance to shops and good restaurants. And a big feature of the hotel is the free parking. Good location and good value. I'll return whenever I'm in Nashville.

First a rather unpleasant woman made my reservation. Then they lost my reservation. The room was next to the service elevator and very noisy beginning early in the morning. The room had a balcony but was over the HVAC system. As such, whenever the balcony door was open, the noise from outside was unbearable. The television only got some channels and those would be disrupted sporatically. The price for the weekend, because it was both Parents Weekend and a football game weekend at Vanderbilt, was as expensive as a luxury hotel. A plain cup of coffee was $3.00. I stayed at this hotel once before and the experience was similar. I'll never stay there again.

The Holiday Inn at Vanderbilt has a great staff of people servicing the guest. They are not only very helpful, but also extermely friendly. I travel extensively and also am an owner of HIEX properties in Ohio........I wish I had their staff...... Keep up the good work!

This was the only hotel near Vanderbilt that had rooms available so I booked it. The front desk staff was superb. I enjoyed open mike night in the bar/restaurant and the food was good. The room needed some TLC. The walls were paper thin. When my next door neighbor left the room and their door closed my wall shook strongly. You could hear voices in the hall and in the adjoining rooms. There was a strong smell of bleach when I entered the room. My eyes hurt so badly that later that night I asked if there was anything that could be done and they sent housekeeping up to spray something to neutralize the smell. The bedding was less than desirable. You certainly didn't want to sleep any longer than necessary. The room and bathroom needed an overhaul on touch ups to make it look and feel fresh and clean.

The house keepers were very loud outside my door, making it difficult to sleep after a long night at work. All morning I could here them laughing, talking and dropping things. At one point two of them yelled down the hallway to another co-worker, as if they were outside and not inside close to customers door where they can be heard. Twice I have had a housekeeper knock on my door at 1:00PM asking if I was checking out at 2PM!!!! I still had an hour and was attempting to rest since I had been disturbed earlier that morning. My sleep was interrupted several times during the stay. On this particular day, the clerk at the front desk was not as knowledgable as the other clerks I had dealt with. It took too long to get questions answered, she quoted me the wrong price to extend my stay ( in order to recoop some of the rest that was interrupted earlier), I was tired, frustrated and totally fed up so I left.
Unfortunately, my employer has a "deal" with this hotel and I get a discounted rate. My commute is 2 hours each way, and sometimes its better to stay there than drive after a long third shift. Sometimes I feel like a discounted rate equals discounted service.

Recently spent two days in Nashville and thoroughly enjoyed the area! Checked out Downtown Nashville attractions including the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum, Ryman Auditorium and the Grand Ole Opry to name a few. We also took advantage of the great variety of restaurants that were within close proximity of the hotel. All in all it was a truly refreshing and relaxing visit. Hope we can make it back there in the not-too-distant future!

This hotel has a staff that is very well trained. They didn't miss a beat from check-in to check-out. They even follow up once your settled in. Room was very clean and impressive. The next morning I eat at the hotel restaurant and find a buffet that is at or slightly under par from a HI Express. That would be fine except it was 26 bucks! Don't mind paying for what I get, but the food option will have to improve for me to eat there. Especially when the same thing is free at others. Just the addition of an omlet station or something along that line would help. I will actually be staying at this same hotel when I return in a few weeks. I will just eat at one of the many area options.

We were in town for a major country music event. Many people in town doing the same things at the same time. The staff was extremely helpful with tips and advice. Never got flustered with anything going on. The room was nice and as expected. Can't speak to true value because we used reward points. Didn't get to use all of the amenities due to having to leave early because of a medical emergency at home. The pool looked very inviting but will have to enjoy on our next trip. Breakfast buffet was fine but there was confusion as to whether it was included. Very when booking and on arrival.
