If you have a good time downtown and walk through the lobby don't make a sound or the rude Front Desk Manager Daniel will call the "off-duty" lobby police over for no reason and make a fiasco of nothing. I travel often to Nashville and usually stay at this hotel everything went well in past, but this was my last stay. It is terrible the behavior of a few employees can ruin a great hotel. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not my cup of tea Ok so I don't want to sound negative, but it is. This place needs some work. I checked in on 11-9-14 for a week long conference. The front office staff was nice. When I made it up to my room, I noticed several long black hairs in the bath tub. I called the front office and complained that there were many hairs in the bathtub. They asked if I wanted to change rooms and I said yes. They called me back and said they were going to upgrade me to a 1-bedroom suite for my problems. I finally got my new keys to the new room and everything seemed nice. About 20 minutes later one of the females from the front desk knocked on my door and personally wanted to know if everything was ok. She then presented me with a gift card to a restaurant that was near by. She said that the hairs were from housekeeping and apologized for the actions of the housekeeper. Housekeeping needs some work. The first day, I had some several small towels hanging on the towel bar in the bathroom, I used them on the bathroom floor so I wouldn't track water throughout the room after I got out of the shower. I got to use those once, because they were never replaced. I opened the blinds in the front room and looked up, and the ceiling was falling down, there was already a large spot of where the drywall was exposed. The rooms were not cleaned in a timely manner. When I got back to my room at 330 in the afternoon and the room was not cleaned, I got irked. No I didn't report this to the front desk because it simply would not have mattered based on the number of housekeepers on staff they were busy. My group utilized the free shuttle, that was nice to use since we didn't have to pay for taxis. The breakfast buffet was nice, it had a good selection of food items, but didn't use since I had packed my own breakfast items in my suitcase because I was usually gone by the time the breakfast bar opened up in the mornings. Overall, I gave the lower score based off of the housekeeping staff. I do not plan on staying at the Holliday Inn Express in Nashville again. November 15, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Near the action. Great location - just outside of the hubbub of Broadway but close enough to walk. Comfortable, up-to-date furnishings. Friendly staff. Large breakfast room, but would have liked more variety of options day-to-day. We were there several days and it was the same offerings everyday. Staff kept the breakfast bar replenished. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Wonderful hotel. We very much enjoyed this facility. We landed in Nashville and then drove all the way to Charleston and stayed at a different hotel almost every night. This Holiday Inn Express was the best. I had originally made reservations for 3 nights and we spent longer at a couple of cities so I called and cancelled the first of our 3 nights. Then we caught up and needed that extra night again so I called and they were very gracious in accommodating us. These rooms are very nice and roomy and clean. The location is great and one of the stops for the Red Trolly is right across the street. The breakfast is first class and the free hotel shuttle makes getting into the center of town very easy, though it is walking distance. November 11, 2014

This is the PERFECT location for visiting the downtown attractions. I enjoy walking and it is a short stroll downhill. If you are not up to the walk.... there is a shuttle available. I prefer to walk down..... Stumble back after a fantastic night of Nashville's night life. The parking in the attached parking garage is so convenient. Great staff on site and super clean. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Can't recommend this location at this time. Pros: The staff is pleasant and accommodating . They did have a room for me at 6:30 am after a less than restful red-eye flight. It was not the room I had reserved (I had reserved and confirmed early check in for a king and all they had were twins). And, the food at the breakfast bar was fresh. Cons: My room was dirty to the point of being unhealthy. The carpet felt greasy and had a slight rancid fat odor (sorry I'm in medicine . . . ) I was greeted with a curly body hair on the bathroom floor (I'm going to assume it was a chest or arm hair from a hairy male client. The tub appeared dirty and had hard water deposits and stains. The enamel had been roughly repaired and there was nard water accumulated on the shower head so only 80% of the holes produced water. The web site announced that the rooms here were all recently remodeled. It became obvious to me that that project is not completed. I may have had a better experience had I been placed in a newly remodeled room. November 8, 2014

While the van driver was friendly and helpful, we were unable to get him to pick us up because of a shift change. We ended up taking a cab. The best thing about the hotel was the location. We could easily walk to lower Broadway, the Capitol, Ryman, the River, etc. November 7, 2014

Only disappointment was the room was not cleaned after first night stay. Got clean towels from the cart and emptied my own trash. Kinda like home but for the price did not expect that. However, our room was missing soap and tissues, and the bed was uncomfortable and had a noisy mattress pad, as if it was plastic. We wanted to be downtown Nashville so the location was perfect. However, we got even more than location. The staff goes above & beyond to make your business/ personal stay effortless. The disappointment was that the interior was dark and dingy, dark halls and room. The foyer made you think it was all new and bright but once in the halls, the flooring was not in great shape. The staff was cleaning the best they could. The location was too far from the activity onBroadway, we should have checked this better. It's 3-4 blocks down hill and then a tiring return up hill. For the higer price we paid, it was only average.We will probably check out another hotel next visit. November 5, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic stay for a quick getaway Decided to visit Nashville with my girlfriend as I had never been. Booked last minute but still got a great price considering the timing. Had an incredible stay from start to finish. Every member of staff we encountered were extremely friendly and helpful. The concierge we met on check in was awesome, she provided us with a map of the area and the local hot spots as well as a few "insider tips and suggestions".. The cleaning staff we're awesome as well, we bumped into two extremely nice ladies as we were checking out. They showed a genuine interest in how our stay was, asking us questions about what we did, where we went etc. Had a lovely chat with them and then they wished us a safe trip home..The room we rented had two big, very comfortable beds as well as a tv and a great view, we couldn't have wished for a better room. We were really impressed by the onsite parking which saved us many headaches as parking and worrying about a car is a pain. We would definitely recommend this hotel simply on the friendly, awesome staff as well as the ideal location. The hotel is a short walk from multiple bars and restaurants(which the concierge suggested) as well as The Honky Tonk Row which was a major priority. I can't convey how awesome all the staff here were, they were the nicest friendliest hotel employees I have come across here in America(I'm from Dublin, Ireland). Both my girlfriend and I have already recommended it to our friends and I am pretty sure a couple plan on staying there in two months. October 30, 2014
