Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Panni Casual staff attitude
Messed up priority club membership details: copied address, name, email wrong. Assumed I am from the same city as the hotel. Did not correct errors in spite of telling her. Very casual attitude. Keys did not work, opened lobby doors but couldn't open room doors.
Food service very slow in spite of there being very few guests, The room was good.
Neighbors played volume loud but rooms seemed well insulated from noise

Great hotel, very comfortable, quiet room. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It was very stressful weekend for me , but I am so happy that I chose a right hotel to stay.
Thank you very much!

Ellie, in the dining room welcomed us each morning as we had breakfast. This is a nice perk when I am away from home.
I understand that you are installing an elevator. That is important to me. I would also like to see your front doors activated by a switch. it is difficult to manage those doors when my arms are full of luggage.
The new management has made a difference!

How long does it take to put in a new front desk? A day, week it has been months. Did this hotel run out of money? The bartender has to take a swipe every ID in order to get a drink, Food was average and the bartender has to run back and forth while thirsty patrons sat waiting. While I like Holiday Inn's the Restaurant is one of the worst and don't be suprised of all the construction.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by GPK1 If you care about an attentive staff, stay somewhere else
I stayed here for 4 days on a business visit to Utica College. It's very close (convenient), but not a great place to stay if you care about an attentive competent hotel staff.
There was no one at the front desk when I arrived to check in at 5 pm, on a Saturday. After waiting several minutes I called the hotel on my cell phone and a woman scurried out to register me, at first handing me documents intended for another guest.
She then directed me to my room designating the longest possible route.
The hotel had no working elevator making it difficult to get several heavy boxes to my room.
The wallpaper in the room was peeling and some "coffee" stains were visible on one wall.
Some materials were dropped off for me, but I did not get them for several hours (after repeatedly checking with the front desk). It turns out that the phone in the room had been unplugged and never checked by housekeeping. The housekeeping service was the best part of the hotel (clean and efficient), although they never checked the phone.
My Priority Club membership "qualified" me for a $2 bottle of water each night. Wow!
What can I say was nice: the TV worked (although there was no channel guide), the desk was okay for working, the bathroom was clean.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Khillb Outstanding staff and service
No matter when I check in, I am always pleased with how courteous everyone is. The front desk, the housekeeping staff and the resturant staff are always right there with any help or answers, No matter how nice the facility is, it's the staff that make the stay enjoyable. I've stayed a minimum of three times a year for the past four years at this Holiday Inn, and the staff may change, but the quality of their service is always top notch.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by jspider88 never got bonus points
I used to say at this hotel about once a month. each time I would check the box for the 500 bonus points. to date I have not received my points for my last 4 stays.
9/5 , 9/12, 10/18, 12/3
I spoke to the desk person on my last visit and she said how sorry they were. she would speak to the manager and not only give me my missing points, but add some extra points for the inconveinece.
Well I never got the missing points from prior stays as well as the bonus points for that stay.
eventhough this hotel is located close to my business contacts, 2012 was the last time I will ever stay there.

My wife and I added a day to our stay due to an inbound snow storm. Having to leave the hotel at 9am, I packed a shovel just in case and to clean up around my truck. To my surprise, I ended up shovelling off the back steps, a path to my truck and around my truck at 8am! They did have the front entrance clean and two snowblowers going around the perimiter, two passes by the time I left at 9, but the one lane plow job around the side and back of the hotel reminded me why I was glad I had my 4 wheel drive. I have stayed at this establishment several times and it is generally good but this time, they came up short. If snow is in the forecast, don't forget your shovel!
