I was forced to stay here due to the fact IHG "blacked out" any other room at one of their many other properties in the area, when I requested to book using my reward points. The amount of points required to stay at this property is ridiculous. I payed to stay at a different hotel in the area after the second night at this property.
The staff was rude and unpleasant. I did not feel welcome when I arrived to check in. They seemed annoyed by the fact I was paying with points.
The room location they placed a platinum member was disrespectful. The shower was terrible, the sink had more water pressure.
I hope to never have to stay at this property again,

This could have been a much different stay except for the efforts of Patrice at the front desk. Due to problems when making our reservations, I didn't notice that they had assigned us to a 2 double bed room when I ordered a King. When we arrived late in the evening, I found out about the mistake when we were checking in. Patrice said there weren't any more King rooms available. But she checked further and found a handicapped King available and gave it to us.
We would have been very unhappy to spend 3 nights in double beds and I wouldn't have wanted to move after 1 night. Patrice's extra effort made the difference in our stay. She also was helpful throughout our stay. The room was lovely with plenty of lighting. The restaurant had good food at relatively reasonable prices.
I definitely recommend this hotel if you are in the area. While it is not in or next to the French Quarter, it is within walking distance and it is right on the streetcar line.

The staff was great at check in and check out, also during the stay. I would like to have music playing at the bar. Maybe change up the bar, make it an active looking atmosphere.
