Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by BusinessTraveler18 Don't book here if you are driving a car
I arrived at the hotel at around 11:15 PM in a rental car. I learned when I checked in that the hotel does not have a parking lot. They had contracted with a parking lot that is about two blocks away and difficult to get to due to a number of "one-way" streets. They did not offer a parking valet. The weather was miserable and I did not feel safe walking back to the hotel at that late hour. (The Holiday Inn website does not tell you this and understated the cost of parking.) The evening front desk staff were not friendly nor were they helpful or considerate. The only bright spot in this issue was the hotel manager and morning desk staff who were attentive to my needs. (They both apologized for the experience and did attempt to make amends.)
The hotel lobby is almost non-existent; it was not roomy or comfortable. The hotel room was small. The room was clean and the TV and Internet were fine.

This place worked great for us...convenient and good value. Small rooms (but it is NYC) but very clean and nice which is what mattered to us. And the best part is how great the staff was...we needed to stay an extra night and they went out of their way to find us a room on a fully booked weekend. They were also very helpful with maps and all kinds of directions to get around the city. Thank you!

I went up this year, as last, to cheer on my kids who ran the half-marathon for the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation. The rooms are quite small but beautifully appointed. Luckily, my son and I got the only two terrace rooms in the hotel. The barman was clueless and he overcharged, so avoid the restaurant/bar adjacent to the hotel and go to Brasserie Les Halles, two blocks away at 15 John St., if you'd like legendary food and drink at reasonable prices. I love this hotel.

A gem of a hotel at a great price. The rooms are small but very well appointed and laid out, clean, and comfortable. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to please. The restaurant has good food at reasonable prices and a nice bar. Convenient to Wall St. and the South St. Seaport. I will stay here whenever I am downtown in New York.

I was very pleasantly surprised, mostly due to the staff. Craig in particular at the desk. Typical small halls and rooms, but understandable for the area.

Overall, I was had a magnificent stay while on business and leisure in New York. The staffs attend to all my needs and offered professional service. Internet service was excellent, the room was immaculate and meticulously maintain. If I had any criticisms, it would be there was no free breakfast, which has been offer at other Holiday Inn Express prior. Furthermore, the Hotel was comfortable, a great place to stay, close to public transportation, and had a good variety of restaurant to eat close by. I will definitely come back again.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Excellent Staff and Location, Rooms, Service
I would recommend this Holiday Inn to anyone. I usually stay in lower midtown, but all was booked up, so I took a chance on Holiday Inn Wall Street, and much to my surprise, the stay was much more comfortable than I anticipated. Staff was extremely friendly, courteous, helpful, the rooms were spacious for Manhattan, location seems far but service from the A Train, the 2 and 3 Trains, are all nearby, all connecting to most all subways terminals. Although this is not a vibrant community, especially on the weekends, it is peaceful, safe, and also parking if you travel by car is very nearby and inexpensive. I rate this Hotel on a personal scale of A+ for a Holiday Inn, even Housekeeping was pleasant and did not bother me at 7 AM like other Hotels, being I had asked for later Housekeeping. I would recommend this Hotel, even for those who are not familiar with NY, just try to get a subway map, and you will see from the A, 2 and 3 Trains, all Subways are accessible by transfers. One side note, Taxis are a bit hard to get out, but easy to get a Cab back to Hotel. I was there on a Holiday Weekend, so perhaps that was why I noticed this, it may be different during business days, and easier to hail a cab. Once again, Excellent Hotel, and the Federal Cafe is Fantastic!

I have stayed at a few other hotels in the finacial district before. This Holiday Inn had larger rooms and bathrooms than the typical hotel in the area. The room had everything I needed - decent TV and selection of channels, WiFi, comfortable bed. The rate was excellent and the staff was friendly. This isn't on a very busy street, so noise in the room isn't bad (was on the 16th floor street side). Food options in this part of town aren't the best, but the hotel staff did point out where to find restarants in the area. I will be back to this location when I have to travel for business.

I usually stay in midtown, but finding an available hotel at a reasonable price was a challenge. This one, although I do think was on the high side (but I guess its December in NY!), was clean and comfortable. TV was hit and miss on whether you could pick up a channel, but i'm not the biggest watcher of TV so wasn't too bothered. Beds are super comfy and room was clean. It is a little out of the action being in lower Manhattan, but the subway is close by and only $2.50 for a one way ride. Do not get a cab - expensive & slow! Would I stay again? Yes, if I had business that end of town, but I think I'd generally look to stay more centrally next time.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by PaceMom6 Ashley and front desk staff welcoming, knowledgeable, excellent service.
I called the day before our stay to find out about parking. Ashley was very helpful and answered my questions about the hotel. When we checked in the next day, she was at the reception desk and remembered our conversation, welcomed us and greeted us. She knew that this was our first stay, recognized us as priority members and we received a welcome basket.
Our room was comfortable. I loved the Bed and Bath Shampoo and Conditioner, and we felt very safe in the hotel.
The staff exceeded our expectations. I look forward to staying here again, when we come to visit our daughter at school.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by visitkb Do not eat there or try to use the vending machines
For the most part this is what you would expect when you stay at a Holiday Inn--clean room and basic amenaties. My second night I decided to order room service and the food was dreadful-bland and overcooked steak, no salt or pepper provided, and chewy calamari. I also decided that I needed a drink so I went to the sole vending machine to find out that basically every beverage was sold out--including water. I asked for directions to Chelsea Market and was given walking directions that were inaccurate and I was told it was a 20 minute walk. It would have been a one hour walk even with correct directions.

We had a snafu in our scheduling of our Thanksgiving trip that was not noticed until the Tue before Thanksgiving. We had no reservation on file. The holiday in Priority Club helpers were super to handle it all for us- retrieved the error, reimbursed the mistaken charge, found us a room, upgraded us to a comfortable level so to best match our previous reservation and did it all within 24 hours and saved our Thanksgiving vacation to NYC. The front desk acted as if we were long lost friends. They were helpful, happy and dependable with directions, recomendations and offeres to make our stay the most comfortable. We are definately on ou"things we are thankful for" list

I am a business travler and have stayed at several of the hotels in the Financial District. I do like staying at this Holiday Inn, the area is good, busy, lots of people walking around, centrally located with a good mix of food stores and dining choices. The staff is great, very friendly and attentive. One thing I need to mention: the hotel must be close to the Waste Management depot, on certain days there can be loud outside noise at night from the trucks that come and go frequently. It's also a very short walk to the Stock Exchange and Wall St.

I would like to start off by first saying this was my family and I first time to New York we were there to accompany our youngest daughter to graduate school, so this alone was a stressful time so to be able to stay at such a quality hotel with such great and professional staff ( Leslie and Ashley ) was very comforting . These 2 young ladies along with the other staff members went above and beyond to make my family stay very enjoyable , as an Iraq veteran I can really enjoy a less stressful situation , this trip was such.

Room size is terrible, very small and bathroom is so small that the door when you swing it to close hits the toilet bowl seat and you have to force it past to close or open the door.
