Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by One of the best deals in town I always stay here, because its more affordable, its well located, has a great gym and roof top pool, good wifi, and quiet , large rooms, the hotel is outdated and needs serious renovations, and the breakfast is cheap but not very good. none the less value for money it is still my favorite hotel in nyc. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Cheap The hotel was outdated. The interior of our room was not cleaned very well and looked like it had been updated around 1978. The heat was broken and would only work on full blast or completely off. The staff told us to sleep with the windows opened, which makes it difficult to sleep at all because NYC is pretty loud at all hours of the day and night. I spent the night adjusting the windows and the blast furnace heater. It would have been nice to have the traditional complementary breakfast other Holiday Inns provide. But, I guess $13 for a buffet is pretty good for NY. The server was very helpful and brought me some fresh eggs because the ones in the buffet were pretty dried out. Tiny elevators. But fairly large rooms. I like the location because it was only a few blocks from where we needed to go. You get what you pay for. If you're not too picky, it is about right for the price. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great affordable stay in midtown If you are looking for an affordable place with attached parking in midtown this is the hotel for you. The hotel is near the subway and is within walking distance to the park and Times Square. While the bed was little firm for my taste the overall experience was perfect for the price. If you plan on spending lots of time in your room you might want to spring for nicer diggs, but if you are in NY to visit you will only use the room to sleep and this hotel is perfect for that. The bell hops will store your luggage and flag you down a taxi if you need. I felt as though I could ask for anything and they would do their best to help accommodate. Unless I need to be closer to another area I would strongly consider staying here again. January 22, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable room and great value for Manhattan. I was in Manhattan on business for five days and needed a reasonable place to stay. The Holiday Inn on 57th was a great value, and I was surprised at how spacious the room was for the price (I booked a Deluxe Double Room). Pros: Comfortable, updated room; very quiet; friendly and helpful staff; a real restaurant/cafe for a full breakfast, in addition to the usual buffet; and great location not far from Columbus Circle. Cons: Fixtures in my bathroom were a little dated and I had difficulty figuring out how to operate the shower on the first day. Shower pressure was super high, which might be a pro for someone else. Overall I was pleased with the value and comfort of my stay. January 21, 2015

This is due to the friendliness of the staff as well as their efficiency and their help, plus the excellent location in NYC. In addition the rooms are quite large and comfortable. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Value (except WIFI) Tremendous value for midtown Manhattan. Great location (close to Central Park, subway to anywhere) and very decent facilities for the money. WIFI, though, was terrible. Frequently could not even open a web page or check email on a laptop. Had to use smartphone. Tried to skype with people overseas, was barely viable. January 19, 2015
