This hotel location is excellent. Hotel room needs better window curtain, too much light pass through room window. We were not able to sleep properly. The hotel bed are old and without any cushion. For the hotel room price, this location needs to improve the room to offer comfort to the guesses.

My room was very clean, comfortable and clean bed & linen, cable t.v. that had great reception, clean towels, plenty of warm water and I had a very quite room.
The lobby was clean and well decorated, no odors in the lobby or the room.
I plan to stay there again when I travel to NYC.

We walked into our room and it was HOT! We tried adjusting the A/C. When it didn't cool down, we called the desk and they sent a maint. man to look at it. He said he made adjustments and to give it 20 minutes to cool down the room. I went to the ice machine, and it didn't work! After half an hour and no relief I called the front desk. She said I had to wait at least an hour before they could do something. After an hour, we were sweating and I went down to the desk and said we had to change rooms. We went into our next room and the smoke detector was hanging down from the ceiling.
This hotel is very dated. It was probably nice looking about 20 years ago, but the décor-flooring, walls etc. are old.
We didn't get smiles or hello's from staff. Just not a great experience.

My family of 4 stayed at this property in June of 2015 and were pleasantly surprised. We were able to check in early and start our mini vacation in New York sooner. The room was clean and comfortable. The area was both convenient (2 blocks from a subway stop and a 15 min. walk to times square) and quiet. For New York, the quiet room was a big deal. We were able to get a great on line room rate, so that made up for the few short comings. We were misinformed at the desk as to the procedures of the parking package. That created a heated debate with the parking garage attendant when we checked out. The only other issue we had was a leaking AC unit. By our third and final day the floor was wet and was starting to smell. Again for the location, price and good sleep, I can overlook those.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Toronto traveler 2015 great location, comfortable bed and good service
Location of hotel is great and close to most attractions and subway. Initially we were not satisfy with the 2 double bed room (Tower B) that we got when we arrived, given the price that was being paid. The hotel is old and even though the rooms were supposed to be fully renovated, Bathroom was not working properly, and the room even though it appeared to be clean, the condition had a much "older or worn" look and feel. Room had very thin walls so frequently heard the flushing of neighboring toilets. We had a late arrival and so could not get another double bed room that night. But next morning, Thanks to staff and the Manager, we were able to get a double bed room with a view in the other Tower A that was great and made us happy for the remaining part of our stay ! The room condition was much better, beds were comfy, service was good and Washroom/toilet worked much better! We stayed for 5 nights and overall had a great stay!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DAR at DHSES Spacious rooms
I've stayed at most of the Holiday Inn's in NYC, and I believe this one has the most spacious and comfortable rooms.
That, together with being in a quiet part of town, yet with good restaurants within easy walking distance or convenient transportation elsewhere, makes for an enjoyable stay.

A very comfortable hotel with excellent staff and convenient amenities such as the lounge and cafe. The location is central to many places, particularly to Lincoln Center where our grandson received his medical degree.
