Conviently located by the 911 memorial, wall street.
The room was a bit small, but then again, you get what you pay for.
The bathroom was tiny, I had no place to put my belongings.
My biggest complaint is the elevator!!!! I can't tell you how many times i just got sick of waiting and decided to take the stairs. Thank god I was only on the 7th floor! I had to factor in at least 15 min of "elevator time" everytime I leave my hotel.

Nice, decent size room for NYC, new hotel, great views from upper floors, comfortable beds, nice large HDTV, bathroom was small but well organized, very nice and helpful staff, and a great value for staying in NYC, close to transportation and attractions. Now the one MAJOR issue that would prevent me from returning...elevators. For the most part, we didn't have any major elevator issues until check out day. There are 3 elevators that service all 50 floors, approx 500 rooms, and also serve as Service Elevators for the staff. It's pretty simple math...when this hotel is full, elevators will always be inadequate during peak times such as morning checkout. And then when one elevator is down for repair, as it was this Sunday, you can expect to be stranded for 35 minutes as we were on the 49th floor, waiting and waiting for what was an excruciating ride down, stopping at least 15 times with the elevator stuffed with 10 people, max capacity 2000 lbs. Needless to say, given this is brand new construction, somebody screwed up big time in designing this hotel with 3 elevators.
My suggestion for the hotel is to program the elevators in such a way that when one starts at the top floor to pick passengers up, it is only allowed to stop a maximum of 4 times. Assuming 2 people per pickup, that will fill the elevator to the max. Then it goes directly to the ground level, saving tons of time by not stopping on every floor where people can't be added anyway. Then it can go back up to the next set of floors that were called, and so on. It's the only chance you have to make 3 elevators work efficiently during peak times...otherwise the elevators will always be a disaster. Just wanted to offer this suggestion.

I could have just sat in my room and looked out the window all night. What an amazing view! And the room was quite large compared to other NYC hotels. Well designed and very comfortable.
