The staff at the front desk were acting like I had arrived in Italy, as they found it very hard to understand me.I had to repeat myself 3 or 4 times before they understood me.The barman who was young and new in the bar was very accommodating but the people around him thought it was a playground to tell stories for everyone to hear about how they're week was going which can be annoying for people who just want to wind down,eat and relax.

This hotel is ok for a short stay but is looking very tired, rooms need refreshing. Food in the bar was edible but nothing special, not much choice.

A well appointed room with all necessary services. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. All that we needed for a night's rest before an important appointment on the following day.

Stayed overnight as I was attending a function nearby. Overall the hotel was clean and comfortable, apart from the fact that the temperature level throughout the hotel was too low.

no issues with hotel for rate paid - bedroom fine comfortable sleep no noise other than guests walking past which is normal for all hotels

I've not stayed up to see in a new year for over 20 years so this stay at the hotel was high on expectation and although there were one or two snags it went very well overall and I'd go back.
The staff, especially the duty manager, was responsive and helpful and sorted all the little wrinkles immediately. I felt we were treated as individuals depsite the hotel being full and there being many demands on staff time.
