Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor hotel Overall, the hotel is not clean, It's décor is out-dated and the hotel is over-priced. October 5, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hotel Don't be put off by the rather tired looking exterior (and the even more so parking lot and back entrance) of this hotel. The rooms are nice and the beds are comfortable. The air-con works well in the French summer heat. Staff are polite and correct. July 30, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor example of a Holiday Inn When we arrived at the hotel (which incidentally is situated more than 30 minutes walk from the rail station in Nimes) we began to feel slightly uneasy. The main foyer reflects an eclectic range of gaudy items from a rather large apple with a serpent emerging from it to Buddhas and dogs etc etc. There was a sense of foreboding and a rather sinister atmosphere. The room was, as my wife stated, 'what she imagined a brothel would be like'! It was ghastly although to be fair the bed linen was clean but the bathroom was very tired and the minuscule soap bars were not replace throughout our 4 day stay! The colour scheme was rather bemusing and certainly not very neutral to say the least. Drinks in the bar were very expensive and the wine of poor quality. We decided not to eat breakfast or anything else...just in case! We found the staff cold and aloof to say the least. If we were ever to return to Nimes (a beautiful city, by the way) we will definitely not stay here...in fact if this was the only place that had rooms available in the entire city we we choose to sleep on a park bench instead!
