Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pre Extreme SEAL Experience My first visit to Virginia. Indeed, my first visit to the east coast since 1960. The weather and lushness of the countryside was a welcomed change from the Douglas Fir and sagebrush that monopolizes the Oregon high desert at the foot for the Cascades east side. The Holiday Inn Norfolk Airport site was a pleasant surprise to me because many of the Holiday Inns I've seen in both California and Oregon seem long in the tooth. This Holiday Inn was impressive. Particularly the room I had on the 4th floor. It seemed more of a suite than a standard hotel room. The staff was welcoming and always pleasant.. If there is a next time, I'll stay here again and for a longer time. July 27, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Breakfast Server There was a breakfast server (I want to say last name was WIlliams?) and she was amazing. Sounds crazy, but its really the littel things that make a difference. She saw me and my son, one day and couldnt have been nicer. Day 2, we walked in and she hollered over one coffee one juice! Coming up! She remembered....again, the little things. Day 3 my son went to breakfast alone and she again took care of him-she didnt treat him like a teenager-he was treated like a guest. Then, on the last day my daughter went down, refused ot eat (another teenager) and this woman basically taked her into eating just something small as she was heading out to a softball tournament. Were going back to the area tomight and my son cant wait to hit the Holdiay inn for breakfast. The food was good....lots of options....it was hot and the servcie was perfect. July 24, 2014
