I have stayed at this Holiday Inn many times over the years and would like to compliment the staff for their excellent customer service, but I would especially like to comment on the breakfast buffet. The staff were extremely courteous and attentive and the quality and selection of breakfast items was very, very good. The staff should be commended and I will definitely stay at this Holiday Inn the next time I am in the area.

Overall everything was terrific, except the pillows. The pillows were extra small and lumpy. The service was prompt and friendly. The food was good and the staff responsive regarding allergies and rushed time tables.

This was my husband and my third time staying in this hotel. Each time has been a great experience. Our last stay was the best. Our room was very nice and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

We thought this was a HI that provided breakfast (as most do) and were unpleasantly surprised to find it was not included. When we spoke to someone about it they gave us vouchers to use for our entire stay. Everyone was terrific from the desk people to the restaurant to the maids.

Every single person at this hotel has gone above and beyond to make my stays optimal: Sandra at the reception desk, the fine lady who tends the bar, the super accommodating lady who drives the van in the day, to the man who drives the van at night. Absolutely the cleanest, most modern and friendliest place to stay in Norfolk. By far the best Holiday Inn I have ever stayed in!

My family came in from Arizona, Oklahoma and New Jersey. We all met here and spent the night before going to Sandbridge Beach for the week. We had three beautiful and comfortable rooms. The buffet breakfast was great! The staff was very helpful and accomadating. We used the free transportation van to take us to dinner. The driver was very knowledgeable about the area. Our whole experience was wonderful. A great start to a great family vacation.

The staff were very polite and helpful as they gave us an unexpected room upgrade. The entire facility was fresh and clean and the king size bed afforded us a great nights sleep. There is also plenty of parking and easy access to the interstate. We will definitely be staying here again for our Virginia beach vacation...

Very nice clean room though a bit small. Bathroom is shiny clean. Friendly professional staff. TV has many channels. Plenty of parking. Favorite thing: 2 pillows, one firm one soft for you to choose. Wish they had served free breakfast though. Good value.

Was in the area for a wedding. The hotel was nice. Upon knowing we were to arrive early, we called and asked for an early check-in and the staff told us it was possible.
The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable.

I have been a customer of this particuliar Holiday Inn for the past two years, as I have a son attending Norfolk State University. I have never had any major problems with the service at this hotel and have always had very good experiences. However, the customer service that I received after checking out, was not very good at all, to say the least. I made my reservations in advance (with my debit card), which means that payment was made with my debit card at the time of reservations. However, when I checked out, unknowing to me, I was charged again. Now I know mistakes will be made, that wasn't the problem. Several days later as I am checking my account online, I see this second charge on my card, which put me in overdrawn status with my bank. Not only am I in overdrawn status, but I have incurred two days of overdraft fees. In talking with accounting, I was told the hotel was not responsible for my account being overdrawn and wold not reimburse me for the overdraft fees and basically said that this whole situation was my fault. What!!!!!!!? I understand being loyal to your employer, but what about loyalty to loyal customers. If my being a customer with them means less then doing what is right, then I don't need to be their customer. What ever happened to customer service/customer appreciation? I won't be staying with them anymore. Because of this whole situation, Holiday Inn has lost a very valuable and loyal customer.

Stayed for three nights and could not have had a better experience. Easy to access the hotel.. Right in the middle of everywhere I went. The staff was helpful and very pleasant. Would definitely come back to this hotel if I stay in the area again!

Comfortable rooms, overall nice but when we went swimming at 10pm and there were 20 people (I counted) and no towels we called 3 times for a refill. First 2 calls the front desk said the towels were on their way, the 3rd call they said they were in the dryer and hung up on us. Needless to say, we had to walk the halls dripping and freezing back to our room. Other than that, we had a great time.

The courtesy shuttle is a very nice benefit. They pick you up from the airport and will bring you to any restaurant within a 5 miles radius. The drivers are extremely nice and helped with all of our luggage. After a long flight with a 2 year old, the extra help was nice. Rooms were comfortable and clean, which is always important. We would definitely stay at this location again.

Used this hotel on a business trip and it was great from the minute of check in to check out. Everyone I encountered from the Front Clerks to the Waitresses in the Restaurant were very professional, willing to assist, and Smiled. A smile goes a long way with me in conjunction with a comfortable bed at Hotels.
I will definitely return to this Hotel in the future, not just for business but personal with my family.
VA has won me over!!!!!!!

I drove eleven hours to be there for my nieces wedding. She blocked rooms at the holiday inn. I called months ahead and told them that I would be attending a wedding and what time the wedding started. I was told that early check in would not be a problem and not to worry. When I arrived after my 11 hour drive, I was told my room was not ready. It was already 5:15pm, an hour and 15 minutes passed regular check in. When I reminded the front desk that I was there as part of a wedding that had blocked rooms and that I was already late for the wedding there was no sense of urgency or even an apology. I had to sit in the lobby and wait with 2 small children, crying and needing to be changed while the wedding started without us, When they finally told us ONE of our rooms was ready, we all had to change and prepare in the same room, despite paying for two. I ended up missing the entire ceremony, sitting in the lobby waiting for a room, even though it was well passed check in time. I didn't receive my second room until I returned from the wedding and still had to check out by 10 am. I had to pay for a room that I only got to use for a few hours. I asked to speak to a manager but I was never contacted by anyone and no manager was ever made available. I received no apologizes from anyone at the hotel and there were no courtesies extended. They were aware that I missed my nieces wedding ceremony because they were not prepared and no one cared. They were rude and basically told me that it was my problem and there was nothing that they could or would do about it. I have never had such terrible service. I will never stay at another Holiday Inn nor will I ever recommend that anyone stay at one. When someone is paying for a service you owe them a certain amount of courtesy.

The room was comfortable as expected, but the service at the restaurant was well below par. The only time the waitress approached the table was with my check. I was seated by, waited on, and served by the bartender.

The thing that stood out the most for my visit was the outstanding customer service! The lobby was clean and welcoming. Staff was friendly, courteous, cheerful and always helpful...from the front desk, dinning room and lounge. I didn't encounter maid service. However, the room was always clean. One staff member remembered my name each day - another one from the dinning room remembered a particular order.
Thank you for a pleasant stay. KUDOS to the staff.

Other than the elevator at the front of the hotel breaking down routinely, we enjoyed the stay. Would have been nice to have cookies out a little longer, and maybe some popcorn or peanuts.

Our bed and room were very comfortable. The hotel was booked for the weekend and it was our family reunion. While I understand it was a busy weekend, you should never run out of towels. I had to request towels 3 times. No continental breakfast and cannot get one in the hotel on Sunday mornings. For the amount of the rooms, there should be a breakfast included.

Stayed there for 2 nights. First day my wife and myself were out all day and returned late.
When we returned our room was not even made, nor cleaned, no towels were changed. It was late in the evening so we had to sleep in our unserviced room. The room itself was not up to Holiday Inn standards.
We told the Front Desk person on duty and asked to pass this along to the manager.
Next morning spoke to the person on Front Desk and no note was left for the manager on our complaint.
Tried twice from home on phone, left messages for Inn Manager to complain about our stay and left our home phone number for his response and discussion.
NEVER RECEIVED A RETURN CALL !!!!!!!!!!!
IN ALL THE HOILDAY INNS THAT I HAVE STAYED (PLATIUM MEMBER) THIS WAS THE WORST BY FAR OF>
HOPE THAT THE MANAGER READS THIS AND FINALLY GIVES ME A CALL>
I DO NOT RECOMEND THIS INN AND WILL NOT RECOMEND THIS INN TO ALL OF MY COLEAGUES AND BUSINESS ASSOCIATES.

Visited my daughter in Norfolk , I would like to thank Bruce , Kim and last but not least Sandra you made our 10 day stay in Norfolk even more enjoyable there was a greeting coming and going every time we walked thru the doors and made our room change when we needed an extra bed very simple . Kim makes the best margaritas in Norfolk , customer service from front desk to house keeping was top notch thank you all very much. Ps hopefully the next time I stay there I will get to park in the guest of the day parking spot lol .sincerely don.
