The management that runs the property needs to be changed. The housekeeping was late, so I wasn't able to check into my room when I needed. The television didn't work, I couldn't order movies and staff came up twice to fix and couldn't. The rate for this hotel has to be location, because it leaves much to be desired.

I stay at the Holiday Inn Norfolk Airport once a year during my annual late spring visit to the ocean. The staff is the best! They are friendly and very helpful. The rooms are clean and nicely appointed. Having the 24-hour shuttle service, with pleasant, friendly drivers, to and from the airport is a plus since my flights home are always at 7 a.m. Definitely a good place to stay!

If you are flying out of Norfolk Virginia, this is where you want to stay.
The staff was very helpful, the room was more than what I expected and it took 3 minutes to drive to the airport. What more could you ask for.
I will be staying at this hotel the next time I go to Norfolk or Virginia Beach..

I loved my stay there, everything was perfect. Comfortable bed, air conditionoing, clean room, and the staff is great!!! Next time I visit Norfolk, VA I will most definately stay there...

I left my brand new glasses on the dresser just before I was checking out around 1800 local time. When I arrived in Italy I called the hotel and ask the hotel Clark to check on my glasses, it took my three phone callea from Italy to find out if they have my glasses but the answer was " Sorry the house keeping did not found any thing"
My question is I checkout 1800 local time and made the first phone call around 0900 local time the next day, I know for fact the room was not accoupied between 1800 and 0900.
My question is where is my glasses?
Not a honest hotel to stay in future.

Some of the best hotel staff I've had the opportunity to meet. I had great interactions with everyone myself. One of the coolest things I witnessed though was for some WWII/Korean Veterans that were having a reunion. As all the veterans filed off their chartered bus inside the hotel, the hotel staff formed two lines, waiving flags and cheering them all in. It was a pleasant welcoming and I'm glad their are still people in this world that show that kind of respect.

the stay was very nice every one was very very nice the only thing i didn't like was they only put two washclothes in the room we take more then one shower a day.but over all we loved it and coming back in june the suit with the living room we love it

This was my first stay at the Norfolk Airport, but I will definitely stay here every time I return to the Norfolk area. The check in was easy and the receptionist was very courteous. My Priority Club status was recognized. The room was terrific in every way. My only regret is that I was not able to stay a second day.
This is a great hotel and the value simply cannot be topped.

The first day at the hotel I tried to use the internet but could not get a connection. The engineer came to the room to investigate the issue and discovered the wiring was defective. I was other room, by the time I got packed up and move to the new room and completed my online work it was 12:30 am. I have to be up for work at 5:00 am needless to say I got little rest that night.

I always feel very welcomed at this hotel. It is one of the reasons I return. The staff is friendly and remembers me and makes me feel at home. The front desk staff and the dining room staff are great.

I make my living doing construction management for a large construction company and travel frequently. I stay in hotels for weeks and sometimes months. I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Norfolk. It was clean,quiet,comfortable with good food and drinks but most impressive was the staff. I won't mention any names because I can't remember all of them. From the front desk to the bar,lounge,maids,maintenance and cleaning staff. They're not only accommodating but friendly, everyone smiles and speaks,. I had the same maid almost every day, she was great. You have to make it to the breakfast buffet and meet the manager . The foods great and she makes breakfast fun.

Upon my return to home i misplaced my cell phone. retracking my steps I called the hotel to ask if they found it. I was directed to lost and found, no one answered so i left a message. They never rreturned my call. Luckly I left it in my rental car. But to never return my call is not very good customer service. other than that the room was good.

I am not sure where to start the outside of the building looks nice and clean and so does the lobby but when you get to your room it's a different experience . The checking process is very long and the free shuttle is never available very disorganized and the drivers are rude.. In my bathroom the bathtub was black around the edges the shower head was dangling the drawers in the room was missing handles the carpet was filthy ,the curtain was falling off the road, there was hair on my bed.....

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Norfolk Airport for 1 night due to flight cancellation. I truly enjoyed my stay and was very impressed with the staff at all levels. The breakfast was quite tasty
I would highly recommend this hotel to be your first choice while visiting Tidewater or overnighting at ORF

Have stayed here for 8 weeks since mid Nov. The rooms are clean, the staff have gone out of their way to make the stay as enjoyable as possible. The food is excellent. Haven't eaten an evening meal anywhere but here because the menu/food is great. The lounge/bar folks are great.
Looking forward to next visit in the next few weeks.

I'm writing about the last two stays at this Holiday Inn. The first one I was only there for a few days. The TV remote did not work to turn on the TV and the toilet was constantly draining slightly (audible). The internet however was very good for working as well as playing games in the evening.
The second stay I planned to be there for more than three weeks. This time the bathroom was great and the TV worked after they sent a gentleman to reset it for me. Unfortunately the high-speed Internet was so bad during prime usage hours that I couldn't even open web pages some times. Trying to connect to work or play games was out of the question. I called tech support and they verified I had the best connection they could give, it was just flooded. I ended up using my cell phone for internet for a week then cancelled early to re-book elsewhere.
The breakfast buffet is really good and friendly.

First reservations: Upgraded to suite with 2 double beds; I had requested 2 queens. Accommodations were fine and worked well. Priority Club gift bag available.
Second reservations: Requested handicapped accessible. The first room given WAS NOT handicapped accessible. I called and the room was changed without any real problem, except the original inconvenience. Not enough towels in the second room, but were given a set at the front desk. Priority Club gift bag available.
Third, no reservations: The stay was fine. Asked as the desk whether I wanted king or queen. I said queen, and was given king room. Towels again were short, a hand towel missing, but with only one person, it wasn't really a problem. No Priority Club Gift bag.

We really enjoyed staying at this Holiday Inn just before and right after Christmas. The shuttle service to ORF was highly efficient. I particularly liked having the guest laundry room.
Even though we were there on Christmas Eve morning, the restaurant was open to take care of us.

This hotel was near the airport and offered quick and reliable service back and forth to the airport, even late at night. The front desk was extremely helpful in working with me during this emergency situation and everything went very smoothly. When I had to add an additional room nearby at the last minute they were very accommodating. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone going to Norfolk.

Always a pleasure to stay with the folks at the Norfolk Airport Holiday Inn. The room is always ready on time and the staff is extremely courteous and professional. The staff in the restaurant are cheerful and welcoming especially at breakfast. The pool and spa are a welcome and relaxing experience!
