Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by At Least I Slept Well, Inspite of the Problems. I slept well after the door-closer assembly was repaired by the maintenance guy. The black mold or mildew could not be removed from the handicap seat by a housekeeper. According to the maintenance guy the toilet seat cannot be placed in the up position because the new "One-button flusher" tank will not allow the seat to stay in the upright position. Therefore, I had to place my leg against the seat in order to use the toilet. April 15, 2015

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great staff and food, Clean We were treated very well upon check in. Our room was even upgraded and the staff that evening couldn't have been nicer. When we entered our room it smelled of smoke though and I chose this hotel because it was non smoking. I was so impressed with the fellow that checked us in and the upgrade plus I was exhausted from driving that we didn't call to complain or move rooms. (Our fault.) I'm sure they would have accommodated us 100%. The room was very clean otherwise. Room service was excellent. Best crab cake we have ever eaten. And breakfast was wonderful! April 15, 2015

Because of disappointments experienced in previous stays at various other Holiday Inns, we just weren't sure what to expect but kept an opened mind about this visit. This was by far one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in. It had been years since we have stayed in a Holiday Inn and purposely avoided them. It seems they have made quite a bit of improvements. The hotel was clean, the front desk staff and the housekeeping staff were very friendly. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and had adequate lighting making it easy to shave. The AC unit worked great and was not noisy, as found in many other places. The drains weren't blocked up and drained properly, and the water was always hot. The furniture, nor the TV,were the latest but were more than adequate. The whole visit was surprisingly very pleasant and enjoyable. When ever we come back to Norfolk, we plan on staying here again. April 14, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Breakfast Whenever we work in Norfolk we stay here because everything is repeatable and predictable. Room was great as always but really have to remark on the effort the crew puts into breakfast. Many places to stay but its the complimentary breakfast that brings us back. Don't change anything.
