Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by comfortable bed Only complaint was the pool was dirty and the hot tub wasn't working and there is no complimentary breakfast May 19, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Hotel Conditions Ths staff were friendly and helpful. The food was fine (breakfast only). The hotel is run down and falling apart. The closet doors don't work, the vanity is falling apart, the air condioner has been wired up to be operated, the shelf under the bar sink is rotten andd falleen in, etc. It is not a typical Holiday Inn and needs to be brought up to a higher standard. I won't stay there again. May 18, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by STAFF ROCKS! NOT ONLY YOUR FRONT DESK STAFF ROCKS, BUT ALSO A BIG REASON WHY I STAY THERE IS FOR THE FOOD AND BAR AREA! THE BAR MANAGER ROCKS! MARLA IS VERY FRIENDLY AND MAKES MY STAY HERE SO COMFORTABLE! THANK YOU FOR HIRING SUCH QUALITY PEOPLE! May 14, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Three Nights at Norman, OK Holiday Inn I stay in over 110 hotels a year and usually use Comfort Suites or Holiday Inn Express. My wife and I spent 3 nights at the Holiday Inn in Norman, OK May 6,7,& 8 in room 522. I spent the first night and she spent the next two nights while I was in the hospital recovering from surgery. The room was ok and the bed was comfortable. The issue was a strong sulfur smell the came from the bathroom every time you turned on the water. We asked the front desk to check it out after the first night but never heard back and the smell continued. Pam had to take very quick showers and could not use the bathroom to put on her makeup or blow dry her hair due to the smell. I was very disappointed and embarrassed because I had told my wife how much I like staying at the Holiday Inn Express Hotels when I travel. This room should have never been rented like that. Unfortunately my wife did not ask them to move her to another room and just tolerated it while I was in the hospital. I have several friends that attend OU Sooner Football games in Norman and had warned me not to stay there, but because I have always been pleased with the Holiday Inn Express I gave it a try. I will not go back to the Norman Holiday Inn or recommend it to anyone. Please follow up and try to find out where the bathroom smell is coming from in room 522 for the sake of future customers. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love the upgrades since last visit. Have been staying here for years, since leaving Norman and returning to see family, friends and OU. Am very impressed with upgraded pool, new carpeting and the friendly service provided by front desk staff and cleaning staff. John who runs the dining room is amazing as he has always been. Was very grateful for acknowledgment of Priority Club Membership and upgrade. This was one of the few times we have ever been offered an upgrade. Definitely recommend. May 12, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by No customer service skill Front desk staff has poor customer service skills, rarely wear name tags or proper uniform. They are also imcompetent-accidentally checked me out after one night and didn't even apologize for the confusion! Cafe breakfast is hardly worth the cost. Cracker Barrell is right next door, I would recommend going there pool area needs work. Spa has been broken for 2 years May 8, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Service is going downhill I have stayed at this HI location many, many times and the last couple of years the service has been less than stellar. The last 2 times they have failed to call me for my wake up call. The Priority Club benefits are now a wheel you spin for candy or points? Not much of an incentive. I will give them one more try.
