Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Great Hotel For Universal Hollywood Loved staying at this hotel. The service and staff was really great. The accommodation is spotless! Would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for accommodation close to Universal studios as they have a courtesy shuttle which takes you right to Universal studios and back to the hotel. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Lovely setting, almost like a resort. I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Beverly Garland Hotel for four very pleasant nights. The front desk service was excellent, the rooms clean and comfortable, any problems were immediately attended to and for such a great location in LA the price was reasonable. The setting around the pool area was really pleasant. Liked the cold fruit flavored water in the lobby, very welcoming. May 19, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by handy for universal Booked kids king suite which was suitable for our needs. Hotel was very handy for the universal shuttle. Other than reduced parking fees for being a platinum member I didn't particularly feel recognised as a platinum member. Asked for directions to a 7/11 nearby and was given vague directions, reception staff weren't particularly helpful. Had breakfast in taullulas which was lovely with great service. May 19, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Experience From the moment I arrived at this property I felt very welcome. I didn't meet anyone here that wasn't courteous and professional and welcoming. It makes for a great experience when your greeted with a "hello how are you?" With a smile. The rooms were very clean and modern with all the extras. No complaints with this property except I wish I could have stayed longer. :-)) May 17, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great location Ideal for visiting Universal. Use the shuttle bus to escape the bussle of the main park. ideal for relaxation. Food and drink on site, reasonable prices. May 17, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Kind of what I expected. Nothing fancy, the layout is a little odd what with the meeting hall near the restaurant so the noise from the gathering is disturbing. If you are on the 6th floor the traffic noise is really bad, but if you are at ground level it is OK. Someone who owns the place should notice that the wire management on the roof below is really poor and looks sloppy. Kind of funny considering all of the work that goes into keeping the place up. The bus to the studio was great. All or most of the help is from a foreign country so there isn't a lot of English spoken so if you are paranoid in any way, just stay home. I liked it for the cleanliness and speed of the elevator. I guess even Holiday Inn is going overboard with cutting costs, there were only 3 ice machines. May 15, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Overall Experience Been a return guest since 2000. Room was fine, in my building preference ELDORADO. One issue: this was my 3rd visit in last 2 months-think about giving a break on parking to your frequent guests. May 15, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not highly recommended for long stays I was traveling on business and stayed about 18 days. I do not think this is the best place to stay for such a long term. While refigarators are available, I couldn't get a microwave! It becomes terribly incovenient for such a long stay not to be able to warm your food. The food at Luca's is not the best and can get monotonous. It would be excellent to revise the food menu every 6 months or have the provision to rent microwave ovens. The room delivery of laundry gets delayed. The room was not neatly cleaned when i moved in. There was a dirty towel left in the bath tub and the stopper was lying unstuck. The in room green book was missing in room dining menu. The replacement menu which i got was missing a page! Beat that! One day, a girl at Tula's did not know how a certain food was prepared and after couple of minutes I had to request her to get someone who knows about the menu on the line. Overall, the front desk was the most responsive lot and attended to questions timely and courteously. I stay here mainly becasue the area offers many excellent restaurants and has a good neighborhood where you can walk. May 15, 2013
