Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Favourite HI hotel Stayed here within first month of opening 13 years ago, and twice since - last time in same original room! Top floor front suite great quality and space and overall the hotel has retained its "newness" over those years. There are cheaper hotels in the area but I am prepared to pay that bit extra for what is offered here and for the convenient location. July 11, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Few things that can improve experience After get in to room, I found one of light is out. I tried to call front desk and the phone in the room was not working. Found another phone and asked for help. Someone came to room and solved issues. 1. Light is not working - Replaced light bulb 2. Phone - Line button was not pressed so he pressed Line1 Both of above could be prevented if room is checked before guest comes in. One more, cups in room. It is good that those are disposable cups. However, those are not sealed. Plastic was loosely wrapped the cups and I did not like it. I prefer the disposable cups are sealed. July 11, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by North Vancouver location North Van's Holiday Inn & Suites is tucked away on a quiet road, and is a beautiful hotel with many services and amenities available to guests. All staff were friendly and competent, and the hotel itself is well looked after. We came to visit family in North Vancouver, but wanted our own space to hang out in at the end of the day. Our family members were close by and we enjoyed being away from traffic and bad parking. I would recommend this Holiday Inn to all of my Saskatchewan friends who come to the North Van area. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent service, great location, comfort and amenities I choose to stay at this hotel over others in the area as the front desk staff are exceptional and after a long day at work I appreciate the welcome and friendly reception and the convenience and comfort of this hotel. The rooms are spacious, very clean, comfortable and quiet. The choice of the pantry or pub style restaurants and a grocery store in walking distance is also ideal if you don't have a car or feel like driving. Again, I can't say enough about the staff at this hotel who do a great job of making this hotel and the holiday inn brand my first choice! July 3, 2013

Room was adequate, after first having been put in a room right opposite the elevatore, we received a more quiet room. As always in North America, rooms are not sound-proof. June 6, 2013

It is nice to have The Pantry right in the hotel for breakfast before leaving. The staff were very friendly. The Pub (which is on site) has awesome food and drink. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic place for families We have stayed at the Holiday Inn in North Vancouver with our 4 young children many times. It is a great place to stay for several reasons. The Kids Eat Free program at The Pantry is a wonderful value, and the staff remembered our children from previous visits. In addition, the hotel is located walking distance from a grocery store, trail system, and Maplewood Farm. For the Adults, Churchills provides a great space to get an amazing tea, coffee or alcoholic beverage at the end of the day. It is amazing to have all these amenities close by, without the chaotic feel of a busy city. April 15, 2013

The friendly staff willing to go above and beyond anytime I had questions on where to eat, directions, etc. The variety of food and beverage on-site was also great! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by wasn't expecting this much I didn't set my sights to high for this hotel but was very impressed, clean, freindly, quiet, windows that opened to let in the fresh air!! Only down side which is a personal peeve, plastic drinking glasses and no wine glasses in the room tacky!! Pool facility was nice, on site laundry is a bonus. Great staff all very friendly. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good overnight from Seattle on way to Whistler next morning This is an attractive, clean hotel with good service in a great location just off of Canada 1 in North Vancouver. We often use this hotel to close 3 hours off our drive from Seattle to Whistler by coming in on an early evening, then head the last hour and a half on the ski to sky highway the next morning and we are skiing by 10 a.m. with less stress and having to book another night of higher lodging costs in Whistler. The staff was great. Special kudos to Rick at the front desk who handled our multiple reservations with skill and professionalism. He greeted us the next day and made us feel welcome. We recommend this hotel. Nice quiet bar and resturant on property. Pub next door is worth a visit Sunday through Thursday. On Friday and Saturday I would avoid unless between 19 and 25. Its a DJ and disco music for that set on those days. February 21, 2013

Staff was friendly and helpful, room was spacious and clean, and we had the pool and hot tub to ourselves on 2 occasions. The hotel is so close to Seymour Mountain so great stay for skiing trips. Kids ate free at the Pantry where the staff was great and the food good as well. Will definitely return. Thank you! January 16, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by No apology? My girlfriend and I booked a room here for Christmas Eve. We drove up to Vancouver form Seattle to have dinner at her Grandparents. When we checked in I gave the staff person a credit card for incidentals. We were also at that time offered a free membership to the Holiday Inn club and given some literature and free cookies. During the exchange the staff neglected to return my visa card. When we stopped for flowers on the way to dinner an hour later I realized it was gone. I immediately phoned the front desk thinking that was the only place it could be. Unfortunately they had not found it. When we returned from dinner I checked at the front desk again and there was still no sign of my Visa card. I decided that it would be best at that time to call and cancel the card. I did not want to risk the fact that it could have been picked up by someone else. With my conscience at ease we went to bed at around 11 pm. When we woke up I noticed a message on our hotel phone. When I checked the message it was the front desk stating they had found my card and put it in the safe. Although it was good to know where the card ended up it was unfortunate that it took several hours to locate and I had to cancel it anyway. Upon check out I retrieved the card but there was no apology for the inconvenience. I was very disappointed in the attitude of the staff and the fact that they didn't even acknowledge their mistake. We were also disappointed that the only meal option for Christmas Day was a very over-priced buffet. We spend over $70 for our breakfast before hitting the road. We won't be staying here again. Hosted a training seminar here 5 years ago, in one of the meeting rooms. Staff were excellent! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Working long days This is the third time i've spent between 14 and 35 days at this location and I have always been very pleased with the hotel. Working long days often from 7 Am to 10 PM or later its great to know that you can have a clean comfortable room and kitchenette. Being able to put together a healthy breakfast in the room saves time in the morning and provides a chance to get ready for the day ahead. The housekeeping staff always responded to notes for room supplies. The spa, pool and gym provide a break from work. Great linens and bedding as well December 10, 2012

We've stayed in several different room types and they've all been wonderful. However, I noticed the bed was too hard this time, and woke with a sore back.
