Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Refurbishment - Very little sleep The Hotel is currently being refurbished with lots of building work taking place. The builders are very polite and the staff are trying there best however the Hotel and car parks are a mess and there is a strong smell of paint and glue which brought on a bad headache. Its great to see the hotel being refurbed but consideration should be given to the guest and not just the hotels needs. Get to breakfast early as there is not enough space for all customers. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by They are updating the bathrooms. This is a lovely hotel with very friendly staff. The only thing I can say that is wrong is that the bathrooms are a little dated and it is not in keeping with the rest of the hotel. However I got told that the hotel is now updating each room and the first lot of new rooms will be ready soon. So that is taken care of for my next visit. Nice stay... Thank you June 22, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Inept staff, tired looking decor - A Holiday Inn let down This property lets down all the other Holiday Inns I have stayed at. The reception staff on check in didn't seem to understand the Business Account process. The room (22) whilst having all the usual furniture was tired looking and the bathroom old fashioned fittings (toilet flush on the shower wall) and half a toilet roll. The evening meal (Hunters chicken) was very basic and the chicken dry. I did bring this to the attention of the waitress but a coach had just arrived and she told me it would be up to 30 minutes before I would get a replacement meal. I, among several other guests were embarrassed when a coach load of guests arrived and there were only 3 members of staff to provide drinks, and serve them, consequently it was easy to see the staff could not cope. Later that evening I heard the leader of the coach party complain bitterly that the service levels were (quote) totally unacceptable. June 22, 2015
