nothing was too much trouble - i use a C-PAP machine and the staff found an extention lead to allow me to use it as there were no sockets close enough to the bed . This was despite I was only staying one night thanks again

stop at this hotel few times before when in Northampton area,never any problems before that why we return.
when checking in we had to ask for wifi code (gold Members) and was not told of time of breakfast ,first morning of our stop we just arrived to has breakfast was been cleared away 09:25 But the staff did sort out some cook breakfast for us,spoke to lady on reception about this and she blame her colleague who booked us in for not tell us the times.(poor customer service Her words )
the room which we were given was a little tidy ,black dirty marks on carpet in two or three place the wallpaper coming away in places ,the bath room sink was were worn and the taps never stopped dipping after use, the heater /air con was very noisy has well the traffic noise could be hear all night no double glazing.
The second day of our stay returned to our room at 20:30 to find the window had been left open all day by cleaning staff and the temp outside was freezing so had to send the next hour with heating on full and sit with our coats on to keep warm.
Not the best stay we had at Holiday inn every ,but has not put us off using the brand again.

I've stayed in a number of rooms in this hotel and they have the same problems. Whilst the rooms are generally nice the bathrooms need updating. The toilet handle is often broken (and strangely located in the bath!) and the tap on sink often leaks. The mini gym needs some heavier weights and a bench that lies flat. The heating in the rooms is hit and miss and can be noisy. However the staff are lovely and very friendly. The restaurant is great and food is good.

Arrived at the hotel to discover a travelers wedding taking place. We were not told at the time of booking this would affect the dinner service although not a problem to us as we were at a family members for the evening.We were told our rooms were away from the wedding so shouldn't be affected by any noise. On arriving back to the hotel around midnight we had to fight our way through people smoking in the reception and dirt and toilet paper thrown all over the atrium with no staff members around to sort out the situation. At around 12:40 the first of 7 fire alarm went off. As i was on my own with 2 children I didn't know if I should evacuate but luckily the couple opposite came out to advise it was a false alarm. In the morning i noticed sauce all up the wall and my door which explained the banging and shouting in the corridor! I did feel for the receptionist having to deal with angry guests with no sign of a manager around to assist. She was apologetic and provided us with a full refund. On a positive note the rooms were lovely and very comfortable. I know the hotel cannot help how guests behave but i do believe the management should of acted to rectify the situation. First stay at a Holiday Inn and not very good first impressions

I have stayed at many lodges and some inns, but this was great value for money - a class above what was expected.
The arrangement of the room was familiar, but the equipment that was already built in and the dispensers added that touch of pampering never experienced before at a 'known hotel branch'. Nice.

On arrivail we were given a disabled room ( a mistake by central reservations ) which we did not need but reception moved us to a regular room without any problem .We were visiting family for Christmas in Irchester and found this to be an ideal location. Breakfast was very good with friendly staff.

the staff were very pleasant and very very helpful nothing was too much trouble we had an evening meal which was very nice and plenty to eat
the room was very clean and warm, the bathroom was also very clean .
plenty to eat in the morning and we were told to help ourselves and eat as much as we wanted, you had a choice of continental or cereal or full English.
will stay again, would recommend to anyone wanting b&b in or aorund Northampton.

I have stayed at this location many times before but I have not been there for some months. Upon arrival I was greeted by Marie on reception. who recognised me immediately, remembered my name and I was delighted to be welcomed like an old friend.

What can I say? I have a fantastic stay, the room (executive) was superb, beautifully furnished with lots of thoughtful touches, it was quiet, clean, comfortable and generally unlike anything else for its price that I've stayed in whilst in the UK.
I would thoroughly recommend it!

The staff and location were good. My concerns are with the bar menu and the speed of the internet. The bar menu only provides fries with the everything, "fish and fries" does not work for me. The in-room internet was very slow, I thought I was back on a "dial-up connection".

This hotel is very clean, my room was very quiet. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Everything in the room worked. You won't find a health spa, indoor pool and a 5 star restaurant but you're not paying for it either. I found it to be the perfect place for a business stay. The little full service bar is cute. I didn't sample the restaurant other than breakfast which was fine. There is also a very nice pub walking distance across the road. I highly recommend the Holiday Inn Northampton.

lovely room,very clean,only problem we had was that the beds where very hard and had a bad nights sleep as a result,the mattress was so hard i kept waking with pains in my hip from laying on my side(i have slept better on an airbed on the floor ), suffered a bad back the next day i was dissapionted as i stayed in the hotel a few miles away near j15 m1 in february and the beds where very comfortable so expected this to be the same i have family nearby so would use the hotel near m1 instead next time.

We spent one night at this hotel the staff were very friendly relaxed and efficient. The room was very comfortable and the hotel busy but very quiet on our stay which made for a very good night's sleep. Would definitely recommend this hotel excellent value for money.

Friendly desk staff on arrival with everything waiting for me. No signing in required & welcome, as always, first class. Ordered food at the same time & within 10 minutes of being in my room, it arrived. Gave me time to settle in. Food was hot & tasty. Same with breakfast. Fast service, efficient & again tasty. Highly recommend this hotel. The best in the area.

Booked an executive suite at a bargain price for a Saturday night birthday treat. Check in was friendly, and efficient. Room was as expected, very big, sofas, bath robes, etc - pity it was right next to the lifts with the constant whine of the lift motors during the day. OK at night. Might be an executive suite but you still only get minimal milk for tea and coffee!
Decided to eat in and was pleased to see a weekend special menu at a very competitive £9.95 for two courses. Meal was ok but unimaginitive and let down by the warmest, flattest pint of Becks you could imagine. Sent it back, tried Stella which was cold and sparkling albeit served in a very ordinary pint glass. If my local can always serve Stella in a smart branded glass, why can't the Holiday Inn? Wine was overpriced.
When the bill comes it had a 10% service charge added. And sure enough, there it is in tiny print on the menu. Intentionally small so it's not noticed. Yes, it is discretionary, but it should be my choice to reward good service, not have to ask for it to be removed.
Checked at the desk on the way back to the room about the complimentary movie included in the package to be met with a blank face so had to fetch my tablet computer to show her the package on the Holiday Inn website! In the end didn't watch a film anyway but nevertheless....
Thought we might open the window a bit for fresh air overnight but discovered the window was screwed shut. Tried the aircon but the noise and the rattle would have kept us awake all night.
Breakfast very good, young man in charge very efficient and on top of things. Room just big enough to cope with Sunday morning. Very pleased that breakfast is served until 11.00 am.
Enjoyed our night away but could have been better.

We stayed overnight at this hotel following a family gathering. The rooms were great, clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and efficient where nothing was too much trouble for them. Not one bad comment from any of the 7 couples in our group. We would definately use this hotel again.

My wife and I had a very relaxing stay using the reward points that I had built up. The room was huge being an Executive room and the large lounge area was lovely so my son and daughter joined us for a games evening around the large table.
We didn't eat at the hotel so I couldn't rate the food, the vending machine was reasonably priced.
We were made to feel welcome and we were let into the room early as it was ready when we arrived.
Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Another excellent stay further enhanced with another excellent curry. Staff as always are friendly and helpful. Not offered anything in lieu of being a platinum member other than free internet connection, don't know if anything has changed. Used the gym again, which I enjoy, however it is extremely tired and is in desperate need of updating. The cross trainer clunks when you use it, the rowing machine doesn't fell as if it has been serviced in a while and there is little space to do anything once 3 or 4 people are in the gym. Please, please, please spend some money on the gym, it would certainly enhance the overall experience for me.
