Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not recognised as a Gold Customer Average stay, not recognised as a Gold customer even after presenting my card. Room was a bit small and cramped especially working space. Food okay no real issues but nothing great. April 2, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Quality of Service on Food This is the second time in 3 months I have experienced this problem 1. Ordered food. 40 minutes later told they had not got any of the item I chose. 2. Re-ordered an the item which came back was not what I ordered 3. Got an email from the General Manager to which I replied asking for more details. One week later no reply. March 5, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Food...! Hotel was ok, gym was ok, but the food wasn't. It took an age to arrive, was poor quality and a warm dessert arrived cold. (cold custard not good), the lady serving us was very nice, we didnt complain much as ittook so long just wanted to get to bed in the end... not only the food was a pr standard, pricing was way over the top, I was on business so it didn' really matter, howver ot all people visit a hotel on business so I felt I should write this review (go out for food... it will be worh the taxi ride) March 5, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by H.I. Crick, M1-Junc 18 As ever, the staff of the Holiday Inn Crick, enhance the experience of staying at the hotel to make it that much more enjoyable. Especially worthy of mention is one of the night team, Tomaz who is always both polite and able to assist which is important when one is working locally late hours and not returning to the hotel until the early hours of the morning. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best staff My Husband and I took my disabled mother away for a few days stay and as we enjoy Holiday Inns and this one had a swimming pool and Gym, which we enjoy, we decided on this one. The staff are the best I have ever encountered in ANY hotel we have stayed in. They were So friendly and helpful. when we arrived earlt they gave us first floor rooms but as there was no lift we asked if we could have rooms on the ground floor. (my fault as I had just assumed there would be a lift) They immediately changed our rooms. the staff on breakfast duty asked if there was any way they could help Mum. they ensured she was comfortably place, asked if they could get her breakfast so that she did not have to get up, looked after her sticks and walker and were brilliant. They chatted to us and made our stay really lovely The attendant in the health and fitness centre was also so friendly and helpful. All in all amost fantastic hotel. I thoroughly rcommend it. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Quiet rooms, good food, good service I have stayed at this Holiday Inn many times over the past 15+ years, mostly on business trips. The accommodation block being separated by an enclosed "bridge" from the public rooms makes for peaceful bedrooms. The food has improved immeasurably in recent years, and I can't remember the last time I had a poor meal there. What sets this HI apart from the majority of others is the warm friendly service from all of the staff, which makes such a difference on solo business trips. A pleasure to stay there - from someone who hates being away from home, and is noted in our business for being hyper critical of poor service and/or foods in hotels. February 27, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quietest rooms anywhere - great staff The layout of this hotel, with the bedroom block being separated from the public rooms by an enclosed (warm) bridges, means that the bedrooms are very peaceful. Have used this hotel since 1994 and the staff have been invariably welcoming, friendly and professional. As a business traveller, one of my favourite places to stay. February 5, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Dissappointing room and service A regular customer of the group, I was dissappointed with the size of the room and also the service on the second night of my stay; Myself and two other customers were left at the bar without any acknowledement for some considerable time. You may have been short staffed, which is not my problem, but 'be with you in a moment' goes some way to excusing the inconvenience. The meal I ordered was then a long time arriving On checking in my door card wouldn't work; the first lady receptionist was very apologetic in the afternoon. When I returned early evening it wouldn't work again #and no it wasn't near my phone# when I complained to a second receptionist I didn't even get an apology! Couldn't be bothered to mention these problems on checking out, have several more days work in the area in next 2 months and looking for a different hotel January 28, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by monica16 overall cleanliness very good. the staff were friendly and efficient and the food at dinner was well presented and innovative. the buffet was the usual high standard of holiday inns. January 18, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The most relaxing holidays We booked as a family for 10 night stay. Pleasantly surprised with our room. Comfortable, relaxing, warm, clean and very quite. Although next to m1, the blinds were cleverly made of wood that made the room private, quite and dark. Excellent. More than 4 parties took place while we were there and we have not heard nothing. Our room was far away from the conference rooms. Nothing bad to report. The bed was a dream, the decoration was beautiful and relaxing, the tv was brand new with all channels tuned in, the bathroom suit spacious. The shower the best I have seen in ages ! Room service every day. Even on Christmas Day they gave us fresh towels. We used the pool every single day. Absolutely fabulous. It was quite and clean and very well maintained. Only once the water was not warm enough and apparently there was a problem with the boiler but they did everything they could to fix it. Every night we had a drink down the bar and there were quite a few nibbles on offer. The breakfast was good and had a big variety of cold and warm things to choose from. We had dinner but it was a bit disappointing, as although we were the only customers that night we ordered an asparagus salad and the main and most expensive ingredient ie asparagus was missing. Furthermore it was not changed, or the asparagus brought separately and was charged in full ! We did not say anything as we did not want to spoil the evening. The staff was in generally helpful and polite but a little bit disengaged and "robotic". I felt that they did not do anymore than what they were asked for. No personal touch or feelings. Apart from Lynne in the swimming pool and one guy in the bar which I think his name was Ben that they were happy to oblige. But again I believe with the price we have paid for the hotel which was excellent for the value, the staff was right. You cannot pay the prices of a travel lodge and expect a six star service..... Anyway all in all very happy to stay, will definitely come back and if we will find next time the staff a little bit more engaged and committed will be an extra bonus !! January 12, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by restaurant food poor experience, food took 1 hour 40 min to arrive was over cooked or dry when it arrived four meals out of the ten ordered went back, replacements took 20 mins to come back. restaurant only had two other tables of two in so kitchen was not under pressure, the lack of custom on a sat night should of rang alarm bells, would not eat in your restaurant again, off to the local pub for a much better value meal, you prices are way off the mark. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Deal Misguided I arrived at this hotel on Saturday the 24th of November 2012 with my wife and my son. We were checked into the room. And on arriving of the room we found a flyer detailing offers and events. One of the offers was for that night a stop over package and Sunday lunch with Santa and presents for the children. The price for this offer was exactly the same price as what we had paid for that night for bed and breakfast. Had this offer been displayed on the website we would have definatley taken this one. I went down to reception with the flyer and asked if it was possible that we could change to the in-house stop over package as advertised. The receptionist pointed out that we had already paid for our offer and that we were not able to change. On pointing out that this offer is only realised when you are in your room by then it's a bit too late. Reluctantly she contacted the manager she had just told us there would be no problem and my son would be able to see Santa and recieve a present. However we were told that we would have to pay for the Sunday lunch. I pointed out that the deal on the flyer included a Sunday lunch. The receptionist was unsure on this so I pointed out the wording on the flyer to her. As she informed me she was not sure on this, I informed her that we would still be able to cancel our original booking before 16:00 and change over to the stop over package. The receptionist asked me to leave it with her. We then return to our room and within a couple of hours there was the stench of tabacco in the corridoor and coming into our room. We went back down to reception to report this and request that they investigate. The receptionist's solution was to move us to another room. I pointed out that we were within the rules and it should be the smokers that should be moved, I know of your £100 fine should smoking take place in one of your rooms. Reception seemed disintrested and informed us it was difficult. However we duely moved to another room. Now on a good note, I would like to point out the excellent meal that the chef Austin put on a fantastic Sunday Lunch and had a very positive attitude. On departing after the sunday luch, there was still a lot of confusion and we were asked to pay for the Sunday Lunch. Even though prior to the meal and paying the final bill the receptionist had pointed out that everything was fine and that the Snday luch was included also including the gift from Santa. I feel that Holiday Inn must get their act together over their offers as to not dissapoint. As it was only through my insistance that the weekend was a success for us. We have checked the website google and facebook and there was no infomation about the stop over package with sunday lunch. I do hope you can take this review into account for future travellers and guests. December 3, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by it is not way i expected easy to get there and nice location i am platinum member and i got 4 hours 1 time use for internet for 2 days the water heater for coffee in the rome in rusty December 2, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good Location, nice pool. Stayed here for three nights in November 2012 From Friday to Monday whilst working nightshifts. Good points, decent sized room, bath and shower. Great blckout curtains and quiet location at the back of the property. The room had a good size flatscreen TV. The free access to the pool and gym is a real bonus at this hotel. Downsides, very poor mobile coverage in the hotel. I'm on the O2 network and could not get 3G at all over three days, I know this is not the hotels fault but it is a pain. There is no free wifi in the hotel at all. Most Holiday Inn Express properties have free wifi in the bar by comaprison. Wifi packages seem quiote expensive and some of the communcal areas like corridors were dusty, not the cleanest hotel I have ever been in. Overall the location suits my needs and the benefit of the pool means I have booked here again. November 22, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good bed and good shower - what more do you need? Reception staff were very friendly. Room was pleasant and comfortable. Decent bed and decent shower - most important things for me and its amazing how many hotels don't deliver these basics. November 19, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Housekeeping I have stopped at this hotel a few times and usually the service and room is good. On this occasion, the bedroom had only been half cleaned - no toiletries in the bathroom, only one mug on the tea tray and no teaspoons. The bin still had rubbish from the previous visitor, inluding a black banana skin. I pointed out to reception who apologised and said they would deal with, but didn't even take my room number. Food in bar came promptly and was good, but had to ask for a knife and fork. November 13, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Let down by poor restaurant service Ordered room service & was told it would take 15 minutes; it took over an hour to arrive. The cooked breakfast buffet on Sunday morning was well past its best having clearly been on the hotplate for quite a long time. October 20, 2012
