Didn't spend much time in the hotel but it was a good location and decent value to spend the night when entertaining at the nearby casino. Much better than shelling out for a room at the casino. Room was very large, clean and generally pretty quiet.

We were delighted with our stay at the Holiday Inn Norwitch. The shuttle to/ from the casino (Mohegan Sun, our destination) and the "from the menu" full breakfast were an unexpected bonus! The staff was helpful and friendly--they seem to enjoy working there. The room and beds were clean and comfortable, newly upscaled. I would love to get the recipe for the peanut butter cookies available at check in, courtesy of a staff member and a very nice touch to welcome the weary traveler. All in all, we highly recommend this Holiday Inn and hope we can return someday.

Check in was fast and friendly however, this desk clerk was the only really friendly desk clerk we encountered. Room was acceptable but the bed was not all that comfortable. Room was clean. Pool was alright but a bit on the cool side and some dead bugs were spotted in the pool area. Went to the on site restaurant for dinner. The server was not rude but not friendly either. Food choice was limited and not all that good. Not worth the value and would not/did not go there again. Would I stay there again? Oh, I don't know, I think I would try some other hotels in the area instead. I also did not receive any IHG member recognition.

Hotel seems to be stuck in the 90's. Not customer friendly - overtly large lobby, no newspaper delivery to room, minimal evening staff.

The hotel accommodations are fine. The Hotel staff is fine. I was disappointed by the food quality, particularly at breakfast.

We stayed four nights and enjoyed the relaxation. I was very annoyed that the hotel charged my credit card $20 on the morning of my arrival to cover incidental costs after my check in. As the hotel already had my credit card on file, it was very unethical of them to charge my card just in case I had breakfast in the hotel, etc. The charge still has not disappeared from my bill. I'm not sure I would stay at a Holiday Inn again because of this policy. It doesn't feel very customer friendly to me.

Staff was not accommodating for rooms for wedding party and I did not receive the room I made reservations for. I was limited to the open bar that we paid for.

Not worth the money. The hotel is dated. You can tell they made some attempts to update but not enough to be charging so much. The pool was cold and had no towels. The floor is very slippery and bathroom rusty and door rotting. We also had to wait for another guest to let us into the pool from inside because the door was jammed. There was no ice in the vending area. We were double charged for items in the lounge and service was a long wait. The guestroom bathroom was not very clean and had a large water leak stain on the ceiling. I will be staying at another very nice hotel for 1/3 the price next time I am in the area.
