Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Clean and tidy hotel, let down by niggly issues I have stayed at this hotel twice now in the last 3 months and have been slightly disappointed on both occasions. Previously the whole room experience was poor due to dated furnishings and very dated bathroom. My recent visit I found that the bathrooms have now been updated; to find that the finish is poor and the shower doesn't work well on hot water. The bar is very expensive for drinks, which generally meant that we made the short stroll down to the pub a couple hundred yards down the road. I'd say that this hotel is okay for a couple nights stay, but for a week or longer you should probably look elsewhere. July 22, 2015

The staff were really friendly and the conditions were very good all round, especially the swimming and keep fit areas. July 22, 2015

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by ask if refurbishment work has finished I have been awaiting a mail from the hotel manager - which I still have not had! I was greeted as a normal customer, but I only take it as a nice pleasure if I am greeted as a returning customer. Never less this was the start of my 24 hour journey From entering the room, the room felt stale, almost tired. This is obviously reflected in the room furniture and bathroom. This however is being sorted by the hotel due to a refurbishment that as a customer I was not aware of. This meant that from check in to the room up to 6:30 that night loud bangs and drills being used to create loud annoying noises started my stay. If i was made aware of this refurbishment I may have changed my preference to stay at this hotel The refurbishment work must have been something to do with the plumbing, as through the night a constant ‘glug glug’ of air popping from the bath and sink. Not a pleasurable start to the night. When I did get to sleep I then found that the Double bed was actually two single beds put together and with the mattress being of two different heights – I’m guessing due to wear, made what I was hoping for a good night sleep, to the worst sleep I have had for some while On check out, it was not recognised that my stay was awful, it was not even accepted that the noise was unacceptable. The attitude was more ‘what do you expect’. I’m not happy with my stay, I’m not happy with no communication with the manager, and overall im not happy that I have had to pay for something that was completely unacceptable from holiday Inn. My location for hotel stay on my next trip to Norwich will change July 17, 2015
