Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 good value for money this hotel has great friendly staff and nothing is to much trouble for them, I am returning to this hotel in September for another weekend army reunion the only downside I found was with beverages, ( I e beer ) not a good selection of beer in any Holiday Inn, would be nice if they had a better selection of bitter on sale instead of just having Boddingtons, maybe some real ales May 20, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Helpful staff, comfortable room We visit Nottingham a few times each year and usually stay at this Holiday Inn. We've tried other local hotels although this is definitely our preferred choice. The rooms are clean, the amenities are good, and the beds are comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful and create a good atmosphere. Also, the breakfast selection is really good and the food is well cooked. May 18, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Food was diabolical I cannot believe that the generally prepackaged or pre cooked evening meal that we were served was the normal standard. Being very tired and needing an early start in relation to a legal appeal the next day, we did not complain at the time. However the sheer volume of food left on the plates should have raised some form of query from the serving staff. May 18, 2015

The hotel staff and room was perfect, I usually stay at the Risley but the facilities at the Holiday Inn were better and I would chose to stay there again in the future. May 17, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Generally good but very slow restaurant service Everything was to standard except the restaurant - 15 minutes from sitting down to our order being taken and then another 30 before we got any food. The restaurant was not busy at all so I don't think that was the reason. Red pesto chicken Kiev on the menu, standard Kiev on the plate. Crispy battered onion rings on the menu, rather flabby breadcrumbed onion rings on the plate. The hunters chicken was delicious. Service was polite and efficient with long gaps between interactions. The room was really cold as was the bed and sofa, the air-conditioning made no effect what so ever, and the bathroom was also cold because the heated towel rail did not work. We used the small radiator that was left in the room but it had little impact W We complained to reception only to be told the air conditioning was set to cold , but they had realised the mistake and would change it to heat. However this belated change did nothing to warm the bed or bedding which felt cold and damp, as if the room had not been used or heated in along time. Will not be back in a hurry. May 11, 2015
