Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient location, excellent breakfast Arrived fairly late after heavy traffic delayed our journey. Received a good welcome at reception. Comfortable night's sleep and then an excellent breakfast with very attentive staff. Plenty of choice and a wide range of free newspapers. If you need to stop overnight on the M1 in the Midlands then I would strongly recommend this hotel December 9, 2014

Went back to give them another chance and it was a vast improvement to my previous visit. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. My thanks goes to a member of staff at breakfast who looked after us very well wont mention any names management should know who she is and I hope they appriciate what an excellent staff member they have got. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean and simple hotel, good location Well located on the M1, convenient for peak district walks and about an hour drive from Alton Towers. Great service,, nice stafff and nice rooms, although could use a refrubishment as decor is a bit dated. Very clean December 2, 2014

Very limited food choice in the restaurant. breakfast bap served in the bar on Friday pleasant taste but again service a little slow. Food and drink pricey for what they were. Room was comfortable but sink in the bathroom a little slow to drain and limited choice of channels on the TV. For ease of TV control use the remote control should have been placed by the TV. Not a serious complaint but it was on a sideboard and not easy to find at first. Excellent location of course and one reason I would always consider staying here for convenience. Good pleasant staff. I used to work there in the 70s when it was the Post House and the restaurants and bars were very different in style and quality!! That applies to many hotels of course. December 1, 2014
