Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 Laundry Mishap... Lady Sr. Receptionist was very helpful in handling our requests and using the lobby computer (which is way outdated...). Sent laundry in but did not receive everything back, and actually had some items that did not belong to us. Did not realize the extent of the problem until the day after we left. Called back to the Holiday Inn and left message about laundry problem, but never received any info on missing items. Will use Holiday Inn again but never trust them with laundry again. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Be careful. Checked in- we purposely asked for a quiet room. We were assured by reception staff the room they had allocated us was quiet. The room given us was in fact right next to some kind of NOISEY plant/machine room, we went back to reception and rejected the room. After some searching b reception staff we were given another room. This time it was with a connecting door to the next room- we could plainly hear our neighbours talking, we went back to reception and after more searching were given another room- quieter thank goodness. But; the bathroom sink was badly cracked as was the toilet bowl. We stuck with it though as we were too tired after our journey there to change again and at least it was quiet. September 14, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable beds, poor service, poor night's sleep The appearance of the hotel was welcoming from the reception, and the guest room appeared comfortable, but tight. My kids were apprehensive to note that there was a connecting door to the next guest room, and didn't feel safe, as a result. The noise level outside the room was quite high, and went on till late into the night, with teenagers playing games in the corridors. The room temperature was poor, and the cooling system didn't work properly. Also, the internet code which was meant to last 24hrs expired only after a few hours. Breakfast was chaotic, and choices sparse. Front desk unmanned at about 5am when attention needed urgently. When this was pointed out later, staff unapologetic. Not like a HI experience in so many ways. Lots of room for improvement.... September 9, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A great stay at a first class hotel We went to Nottingham for the long weekend, and stopping at the Holiday Inn was perfect, first class service, ideal location and the breakfast really set us up for the day. All was perfect except for the cricket result. The rooms were executive, clean and quiet, again first class. September 4, 2014
