This hotel is fine and a welcoming experience after a long drive, we were unfortunate to be opposite the lift, I guess a different room location is possible, but the beds! they were so uncomfortable, I couldn't sleep as I was sharing a bed, the roll together made it the same as sleeping on a slope, when the other person moved the whole bed moved. Maybe consider if you are sleeping alone

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by lolewus Close to Warhammer World
We chose this hotel because it was within walking distance to the train station and Warhammer World. The hotel room had seen better days, but the bed was comfortable and the bathroom more than large enough to turn around in (unlike some other places we stayed). Not a luxury hotel stay by any stretch, but we got two good nights' sleep.

I have over the last 2 years stayed in Nottingham for Business and pleasure quite a lot, and I have used a few hotels in the area, and I must be honest the Holiday Inn has been the far better hotel that I have used, the room was lovely and clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the food was good, and the staff very friendly, and I will be going back soon.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bilious Much Better Than Expected If Bought Carefully
This is a standard business hotel in an industrial estate on the outskirts of Nottingham. Expectations are set but immediately the hotel exceeds them. The lobby and reception areas are very attractive and comfortable, its both practical and pleasant to work there when you are bored with your room. The rooms are very well refurbished, attractive and comfortable as per the photos, but the executive or superior rooms are not worth the £40 upgrade. The Wifi is reliable and fast although you may have to pay extra for it. I don't mind doing that as long as it works 100% reliably. It did for me. The restaurant tries to be a little overambitious and is the main weak point of the hotel. Stick to safe classic dishes you know will be done well. The hotel is more expensive than others in the area and category and some areas aren't any better than its competitors. For me the decor, reliability and staff service make the difference worth paying for, but only if you buy this hotel cleverly taking advantage of offers and membership.

Stayed for one night recently for leisure. Staff did not acknowledge Priority Club status, or offer any upgrade, etc. We had to ask about Internet and car park exit code. Room was comfortable but basic, dated and in need of updating. Did not eat here as breakfast expensive, went over the road instead.
