Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable beds, poor service, poor night's sleep The appearance of the hotel was welcoming from the reception, and the guest room appeared comfortable, but tight. My kids were apprehensive to note that there was a connecting door to the next guest room, and didn't feel safe, as a result. The noise level outside the room was quite high, and went on till late into the night, with teenagers playing games in the corridors. The room temperature was poor, and the cooling system didn't work properly. Also, the internet code which was meant to last 24hrs expired only after a few hours. Breakfast was chaotic, and choices sparse. Front desk unmanned at about 5am when attention needed urgently. When this was pointed out later, staff unapologetic. Not like a HI experience in so many ways. Lots of room for improvement.... September 9, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great service Very pleasant greeting and made aware of offers. Good knowledge of taxis to town and Trent Bridge. Very good inter action with reception staff and very willing to help. Will definitely stay again if in the area. September 8, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A great stay at a first class hotel We went to Nottingham for the long weekend, and stopping at the Holiday Inn was perfect, first class service, ideal location and the breakfast really set us up for the day. All was perfect except for the cricket result. The rooms were executive, clean and quiet, again first class. September 4, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Two August Days in Nottingham For a brief visit it is commendable; the free parking is also a bonus. August 31, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A Great Hotel to Stay At I stayed with my family of 2 adults and 3 children, all under 12, for 2 nights. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The rooms are also clean and reasonably well appointed though a little on the small side. ALL the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is excellent value for money and has a lot of variety, traditional and continental. August 30, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good place for a quiet stay in Nottingham This is in a quiet area in central with friendly serviceNottingham. You are well away from Saturday night drunks. Public transport links are not too convenient, but taxies are cheap and plentiful. The hotel is clean and comfortable August 29, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good choice Good hotel in nice location. Easy walk along canal to Notts Town centre. Breakfast good although a little slow to remove used plates. Clean room and quiet. August 28, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by good value and comfortable Would reccomend staying here. Clean, comfortable rooms with good facilities. Bathroom well equipped and beds really comfortable. Friendly check-in/check out staff. August 27, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by comfortable hotel Most things very good. One occasion when bar staff misheard producing white wine August 22, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by shame about the beds This hotel is fine and a welcoming experience after a long drive, we were unfortunate to be opposite the lift, I guess a different room location is possible, but the beds! they were so uncomfortable, I couldn't sleep as I was sharing a bed, the roll together made it the same as sleeping on a slope, when the other person moved the whole bed moved. Maybe consider if you are sleeping alone August 21, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Close to Warhammer World We chose this hotel because it was within walking distance to the train station and Warhammer World. The hotel room had seen better days, but the bed was comfortable and the bathroom more than large enough to turn around in (unlike some other places we stayed). Not a luxury hotel stay by any stretch, but we got two good nights' sleep. August 15, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nottingham Holiday Inn good value for money, excellent location opposite supermarket, nearby restaurants, off street parking August 15, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Hotel in Nottingham I have over the last 2 years stayed in Nottingham for Business and pleasure quite a lot, and I have used a few hotels in the area, and I must be honest the Holiday Inn has been the far better hotel that I have used, the room was lovely and clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the food was good, and the staff very friendly, and I will be going back soon. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Much Better Than Expected If Bought Carefully This is a standard business hotel in an industrial estate on the outskirts of Nottingham. Expectations are set but immediately the hotel exceeds them. The lobby and reception areas are very attractive and comfortable, its both practical and pleasant to work there when you are bored with your room. The rooms are very well refurbished, attractive and comfortable as per the photos, but the executive or superior rooms are not worth the £40 upgrade. The Wifi is reliable and fast although you may have to pay extra for it. I don't mind doing that as long as it works 100% reliably. It did for me. The restaurant tries to be a little overambitious and is the main weak point of the hotel. Stick to safe classic dishes you know will be done well. The hotel is more expensive than others in the area and category and some areas aren't any better than its competitors. For me the decor, reliability and staff service make the difference worth paying for, but only if you buy this hotel cleverly taking advantage of offers and membership. August 5, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Dissapointed Stayed for one night recently for leisure. Staff did not acknowledge Priority Club status, or offer any upgrade, etc. We had to ask about Internet and car park exit code. Room was comfortable but basic, dated and in need of updating. Did not eat here as breakfast expensive, went over the road instead. August 2, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very comfortable stay and particularly friendly and helpful staff Very comfortable stay and particularly friendly and helpful staff. We were impressed with a quick change of room number when our original allocation wasn't quite ready for us on arrival. The next morning's breakfast experience was made particularly enjoyable by the pleasant greetings and prompt assistance from the staff on duty. July 29, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Food at a great price I found the Hotel clean comfortable and modern you can see that there has been some refurbishment recently which clearly has lifted the look of the Hotel, Staff are always helpful and friendly, July 29, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Staff are always friendly I recommend this hotel for the friendly staff and good service. July 28, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by An unexpected little gem, reaches beyond 'business hotel' Stayed here for two nights on a rushed family trip. Green, welcoming, pleasant, decent little restaurant and somewhat above what I expected for a business hotel. Nicely located just off Castle Boulevard, pleasant green environment with alternative eateries and a nice canal towpath walk into Nottingham. For us, the jewels were the staff. From front of house to the pleasant and courteous cleaners, they couldn't do enough for us. We embarrassingly overslept due to jetlag - Phillippa, Thomas, James, Joe and Duane went well out of their way with cheerful courtesy despite having other duties to do. We saw most of them still there the next evening, sharp and polite as ever despite a long shift! I hope such good human capital is encouraged appropriately. This has won us off potentially cheaper alternative providers. Certainly the place to come for a summer long weekend in Nottingham. July 27, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Leisure Visit On A HOT Day ! Very happy with the overnight stay in Nottingham. A very hot day and the hotel was a lovely clean and cool environment ! I will stay there again ! July 22, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Family wedding stay over Very clean room with all the usual facilities. My only disappointment was how hard the beds were, both the double and the pull out bed the kids slept on. My bed was rock hard and the sofa bed was lumpy and old. July 16, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Choice location for modern clean hotel. This Holiday Inn does all things you would expect, but with the added bonus of several alternative restaurants just a stone's throw away. With the City Centre shops, canalside stroll, and Trent Bridge cricket ground all within walking distance, Holiday Inn provided the ideal base for our weekend of cricket and shopping. July 16, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel This is a very comfortable hotel. Great service and ideal location. July 15, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent hotel Went to watch the test match at Trent Bridge. Hotel provided everything I needed for a short stay - good sized room in excellent condition with a comfortable bed and well maintained bathroom. Breakfast buffet is excellent. Staff are attentive and polite. Second time I have stayed here. If I travel to Nottingham, this is where I'll stay. July 13, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfotable room and good breakfast Stayed for 2 nights in July 2014 with 2 sons whilst attending Canoe sprint regatta at National Watersports Centre. Hotel friendly and as expected of budget hotel - Comfortable room, good shower, ample free parking and good breakfast. Fairly convenient for NWSC (10 mins by car), and plenty of eating places nearby. Only slight issue in the quad room was that pull-out sofa bed not up to much but bearable. July 10, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A bright comfortable room and excellent breakfast We stayed at the Holiday Inn for one night for leisure break. The room was bright and clean. The breakfast was self service with plenty of choice and the staff were very pleasant. July 8, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice staff and convenient location Helpful and friendly staff everywhere. Room comfortable and food service good. Close to several local attractions within walking distance. July 7, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Still my favourite hotel in Nottingham I returned to the Holiday Inn recently, after having stayed there for ther best part of 9 months on assignment a couple of years ago. I was pleased to see the familiar, friendly faces I saw back when I was resident, and even more pleased that they remembered me! The rooms are clean, the beds are very comfortable - and with the benefit of being slightly outrside the city centre, it's very quiet. There's also plenty of free - yes, free - parking! I didn't eat at the restaurant on this occasion, but I ate there pretty much every other day when I was on assignment, and the food is very tasty - I'd highly recommend the Fish and Chips! I've stayed at most of the hotels in Nottingham at some point, and this is still my favourite. July 3, 2014
