Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Convinient stay between city and suburbs I've stayed in this hotel many times because of its convinent location and reasonable price (considering it's Chicago...). Mall and restaurants close by, very easy access to major highways to downtown and suburbs, also in and out of Chicagoland. Good rooms, very good bar downstairs for those who like (open till late...), free parking area. July 31, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by mediocre This hotel is adequate but really needs a physical upgrade including fresh paint. Paint in room was drab and lumpy; about to peel in many areas. Room was somewhat grungy and way overdue for carpet cleaning. Housekeeping was ok. but, like most hotels, staff rarely speakEnglish so it's difficult to communicate what you need. They skipped our room a couple times and had to be called back. Even when called back they didn't provide requested towels because they didn't understand English. Front desk staff was sometimes attentive to requests but rarely with a smile or friendly response. Usually I had to ask twice cause they really didn't care enough to remember basic requests. A broken fridge was installed and wasn't tested. So when I came back from the grocery store I had to call for a working fridge. Attention to details was non-existent. Pool was grungy and poorly maintained. There was no ventilation of chlorine fumes in pool room either. And there was NO AC in the hallway or elevator. Temps there reached about 85 degrees. Request to repair that AC were never followed up on. July 29, 2015

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by I will not stay here again Very poor front desk staff manners, very poor breakfast quality of food, after i had to insist that my room which stated room and breakfast for 2 adults and 1 child, should include 2adults & one child tickets and not only one or two tickets for breakfast. It is an old hotel, need many updates, the rates where way above the quality of the hotel. This was our 5th hotel (holiday inn) stop in a road trip around the usa, and was by far the worse in staff manners, quality vs price, food quality. Will not stay here again, and have family in Chicago that i come to visit. July 27, 2015
