Good hotel. Nice place to stay.It was a nice hotel. Convenient location to restaurants and shops. Mall nearby. Not too far from Chicago. Good place to stay for business. I would recommend the hotel to others.

I have stayed at this property many times over the last few years, and this is the first time I had any issues with the hotel. When checking in, I was not recognized as a gold elite member until I gave them a bonus coupon for extra points. Also, I did not receive my coupons for breakfast until I returned and asked for them after going to my room.
The room was slightly noisy, being able to hear the elevators running all night. Otherwise, the room was very clean and the bed was comfortable.
The breakfast crew were very personable and the food was hot and fresh at all times.
Overall, the experience was good, with a few small exceptions, and I would recommend staying here.

very dirty hotel the staff was rude the attendants at the breakfast hovered over you and were expecting a tip before great service was rendered.

I liked the hotel, but the hotel was too far from Chicago,
where my business was, that was the negative. Location.
Again that had nothing to do with the hotel, just a booking oversight.

The staff is excellent and the rooms are nice. The TV reception was poor. Perhaps the weather was impacting reception. Hotel needs to correct the signage for the gym. One sign pointed in the wrong direction and one sign had the wrong room number which led you to a hotel room

The room itself was fine and had everything I needed, but the experience itself was a different story. Everytime I visit an IHG hotel, I take advantage of the complimentary late 2pm check-out that I get as a club member. I told the front desk this twice — once at check-in and once the night before I was supposed to check-out, just to make sure. On the morning of check-out at 8am, I had a housekeeper come into the room without knocking or anything, and apologized after she saw that I was still lying in bed. Around 9am, I had someone knocking at my door, asking if I was ready to check-out, I said no. Again, at 1pm, a housekeeper walked in without knocking and said “Are you leaving?!” REALLY? Does anyone here communicate?! I thought that was ridiculous that this happened THREE times. And I don’t work in the hotel industry so I don’t know how everything works, but I figured that the front desk would somehow inform housekeeping that I’m not checking out until 2pm so that I wouldn’t get any interruptions and be able to rest! I might be overreacting, but if I’m spending the night at a hotel, I would love the opportunity to get some sleep and to relax. I love Holiday Inn, but I don’t think I will be returning to this location.
