Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good overall experience This hotel is located in an area of Oakland that seems to be trying to renew itself. It felt like an oasis among some of the surrounding areas. The staff is very friendly and helpful and make you feel welcome. Also, the Diamonds Grill is a nice little restaurant when you don't feel like venturing out from the hotel to find something to eat. It has a good menu and the food is above what you normally find in other hotels. February 23, 2015

I always feel that I am appreciated as a customer and feel comfortable at the hotel. The restaurant has improved over the past 2 years, the food service for our meetings is great, very friendly and helpful staff. February 16, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent! The staff is wonderful! Make sure you get to know Jesus the bartender, he will make you feel like you are at your neighborhood bar. The waitstaff, front desk, and everyone I encountered was helpful and had a pleasant attitude. If I am in the area again this hotel would be my choice. February 15, 2015

Arriving at my room after getting soaked in the rain and holding a soggy pizza box with my dinner inside, I find the maid still cleaning my room at 5:30 pm when all I wanted to do was crash. I had been gone since 7:30 am and they couldn't find time all day to make up my room? Very little hot water for my 3:30 am shower. Woke me right up for my 6:00 am flight. Comfy king size bed. I didn't care for the cleaning staff running the vacuum during breakfast. Room was very clean, staff seemed concerned about patrons. I will be back. January 28, 2015
