What makes my numerous visit to this hotel so pleasant is the exceptional staff. From the front desk to the restaurant people at this hotel are always friendly, courteous and helpful.

nice hotel. great customer service. my first room was noisy (noisy neighbours) and the fan didnt work, and they were happy to upgrade me to a fanstastic room and quick about it as well. (at my door within minutes with the new keycards). convenient location, clean, well appointed. i will be back to stay there again next time i'm in oakville, although i would be sure to ask for a room that is not poolside (no balcony) as the sound from below echos and carries (people chatting in the lounge or the breakfast dishes clinking away).

We stayed 4 nights and enjoyed our stay. Our room did not have a window, but had a patio door overlooking the elevators. Can't say anything negative about the staff: they were very cheerful and helpful. Our room was spotless, and our mattresses were very comfortable. The breakfast never changed for any of the 4 mornings we ate there. Barely warm scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, cereals, rolls and yogurts. No waffles or pancakes. Cookies, bottled water and potato chips were free and available on the first night, but not after that.
Wonderful location: walking distance to the GO Train!
On the minus side, the decor reminded me of a jail cell: white walls, grey/black carpet. Devoid of color and warmth.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn recently when we were just wanting to get away and relax. It was extremely clean and comfortable. All the staff were warm, welcoming, and able to answer our questions. It was incredibly relaxing! We will definately be back and recommend this hotel to others!

Love the options on the pillows. Enjoy having a robe provided with the room and the staff at breakfast always have a smile waiting for you in the morning.

We travelled to Toronto by rail. This hotel is located a short, easy walk from Oakville GO rail station. This station is a short, comfortable rail journey from Toronto Union Station by the regular GO rail service.

Priority club members receive no extra benefits at this hotel. Waited over an hour from the 3 pm check in. Other customers offered rooms before Priority Club members. Cleaning staff unable to clean rooms on time for check in.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Horribly loud if you are on the side of the pool.
We were coming in for just one night. The outer hotel area by entrance reeked of smoke. When we got to the front desk, we were greeted by a gentleman who had the worst accent and I could barely understand him. He gave us room keys and when we went up we noticed that the pool which is located in the center of the hotel was inhabited by 20 or so screaming kids. Luckily we were able to go back down, explain the situation and get a room on the other side of hotel. In the AM, breakfast was poor.

There is, on the face of it, nothing remarkable about this hotel. As far as the building and rooms are concerned it is all pretty standard. However we did request a room in a quiet location in advance and also advised the hotel of my wife's dietary requirements.
On arrival we found our room had been changed from the initial allocation and was indeed in about as quiet a corner as possible. At breakfast we were advised that not only had the hotel bought a milk alternative for my wife to overcome her lactose intolerance but they had also purchased alternative cheeses and desserts should we choose to have dinner in the hotel.
The staff were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble.
All in all, a great stay, thank you

I booked a room with King bed. At check in they told me they did not have any King rooms left. I explained that my reservation was for King so obviously there was a mix up. They said they could get me into a king roon the next day. Just have my items packed up and they would move me and to stop at the desk the next evening to determine my new room number. When I went to the front desk the next night the same lady that checked me in the night before said, sorry we did not move you. Thanks!!! The room was warm. The air conditioner was not able to cool the room much below 75 The bed was okay but I have slept in far nicer more comfortable rooms. When I explained my concerns to the front desk all they said was I am sorry to hear that. I expected more given they are in the service industry.

I recently stayed here for the second time and it didn't disappoint. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good and reasonably priced. I even had dinner one night - which I usually avoid. And the food was quite good - very pleased.
Service was also very good. The day I left I took the GO Train into Toronto (which you can walk to in five minutes) and I didn't want to leave my valuables in my car all day. So I left my bags with the hotel for the day.
When I returned to get my bags I offered a $5 tip for two bags and the gentleman kindly refused. He said he'd accept it if he had carried my bags to my room or car for me. But he said simply checking them in the next room was part of the job. He thanked me but basically said he was just doing his job and didn't deserve a tip.
I was floored. Usually, I'm getting hit left and right for tips at hotels but this was a pleasant surprise - not only to save my $5 but to see the right kind of service attitude at a big chain hotel.
Fitness room was small but never crowded. And the equipment was in good condition and allowed me to keep my workouts going while on the road. Also like the free WiFi - which most hotels overcharge for.
I will definitely stay here again.

We had a good stay for two nights but had a problem with the air conditioner. Since the hotel was full, they offered one room to us however, we elected to stay in our room with the slight discomfort. The front desk staff was VERY helpful an adjustment was made to our costs and we were more than satisfied. As issues were settled a young lady Saturday night was very helpful (July 27) and a gentelman (Sam) on Sunday morning (July 28) completed the issue. Thank you for all your help.

I really liked this hotel and plan to book this one when I return there for work.
First and foremost, the beds are comfortable. The bedding is nice, soft and not that cheap rough sandpaper some hotels use for bedding. They provide lots of pillows (love) of different firmness (love).
I was in a corner exec room on the sixth floor and loved it. Lots of space. Modern decor. Clean facilities.
The room had great temperature controls. It was clean. Had a microwave and refrigerator in the room. Maid service was good though they threw away my newspapers I hadn't read one day. Front desk is friendly and has a small snack/convenience item shop.
Parking is abundant and free. Free wifi was great and worked well.
I used the dry cleaning service and it was reasonably priced and fast (same day).
I like the location as it's right near the Whole Foods and many other convenient stores.
The food at the breakfast was OK. I had the full breakfast pass but only used it for the continental since I have allergies and the foods look processed that were made for breakfast. Great selection of fruits, yogurts, breads, deserts, cereal and at least three warm items.
I ordered from room service once and I have an allergy and it was a bit awkward. After telling him of my preservative allergy the guy on the phone made me jump through hoops to get him to let me order, even after he checked the ingredients of the pasta he tried to insist on using rice which was strange; claiming cross contamination with the pasta. Not sure how rice could not be cross contaminated but pasta could. Anyway I assured him that as long as the ingredients did not list my allergy then I could eat it and then he made all these statements about how it's at my own risk, no guarantees, etc. I get that but I have never had such a runaround when ordering at any restaurant. Anyway I had the pesto chicken and it was wonderful! lol
The gym is tiny. The pool is in an awkward area so that you'd have to swim in front of everyone.
Get a room facing outdoors, not into the hot lobby. The lobby is kind of warm upstairs and the rooms are like slider doors which I was not super comfortable with :)

Enjoyed our 2 night-stay, took advantage of the indoor pool after a long drive from Quebec. We were in Oakville attending a wedding. All in all an excellent weekend with great weather to boot ! The location of this hotel could not be more suitable. Five minutes from church, 5 minutes to Oakville Golf Club and less than 5 minutes to reach the house where a Sunday Brunch was being held by the groom's parents. Also the lady taking care of our room was friendly and attentive.

My thanks to all the staff who did a great job in welcoming my dog and I. After I moved out of my house I had a week before I flew out of country. I felt at home in the hotel and the quiet restful atmosphere was appreciated after weeks of turmoil packing and moving.

We use the hotel several times a year when we go to visit family in the area. There is a gentleman at the front desk (do not know his name) who is exceptional. He remember names and faces which is fantastic. He always goes the extra mile to make sure the room is ready and that everything meets our expectations.

I had been staying here 3 out of the 4 visits to Oakville. 2 things I look for is Courteous Staff and Room Cleanliness and this hotel as not disappointed me so far. Their breakfast is good too.
