Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Small bed and bad service I reserved and paid for a King size bed, when I checked in they told me they made a mistake and had no more left. I was still charged the same price, wasn't even given a discount for there in convince or screw up. The towels were also stained or dirty could not tell, and the toilet wasn't clean. Was a very uncomfortable and disappointing stay. April 2, 2014

If you plan on catering to the working business people, you need to revisit additional access points on property. I can't take the chance of losing hours of work due to downed internet. We were offered a bottle of water and trail mix upon check in. We also did not get our coupons for "kids eat free". Cliff in the restaurant was very nice and great with the kids. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Week-end visit with my daughter Unfortunately during my stay there was an issue and the pool was closed - to the great disappointment of my daughter and stepson (who desperately wanted to swim) and were asked to vacate the pool 2 minutes after entering it. Also, while I loved my room - it had ajoining possibility and those doors are not sound proof, the room next door had 2 small children who just did not want to sleep - they cried till for a long time at betime, and early the next day were on the blacony playing with their toys ... so we got no sleep. The staff was wonderful, but uniformed, I was given a coupon for points - this coupon said I had to use the restaurant, I called down to know if the restaurant and room service were the same and was told yes - then I asked if my coupon was applicable and they did not know - they said I sould ask in the morning ... but I was hungry then ... I used room service (50$) and the points have not been applyed to my IHG account ... too bad. All this being said, the hotel is good and I will stay there again, I am just a little disappointed with my last stay. Jo March 10, 2014

I get it wont be silent but this one was constantly making different sounds and was very loud with no consistency. Staff was great and room was spotless. December 10, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Awful service at the restaurant We stayed at this Holiday Inn last weekend and had the most awful service at the restaurant. We went there for breakfast and ordered off the menu (didn't just get the free continental). I had to send my order back 4 times before they could get it right even though my order was very simple (I wanted hard yolks in my eggs, not soft). The first time they brought me the completely wrong order as well. The waitress wasn't apologetic in the least. We also had problems with the elevators which only worked some of the time. I had to take the stairs on a number of occasions which wouldn't have been so bad if I weren't almost 8 months pregnant at the time. Rooms were standard Holiday Inn, no problems with them. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Customer Service nice hotel. great customer service. my first room was noisy (noisy neighbours) and the fan didnt work, and they were happy to upgrade me to a fanstastic room and quick about it as well. (at my door within minutes with the new keycards). convenient location, clean, well appointed. i will be back to stay there again next time i'm in oakville, although i would be sure to ask for a room that is not poolside (no balcony) as the sound from below echos and carries (people chatting in the lounge or the breakfast dishes clinking away). Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Location, Clean and Comfortable! Drab, dated decor. We stayed 4 nights and enjoyed our stay. Our room did not have a window, but had a patio door overlooking the elevators. Can't say anything negative about the staff: they were very cheerful and helpful. Our room was spotless, and our mattresses were very comfortable. The breakfast never changed for any of the 4 mornings we ate there. Barely warm scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, cereals, rolls and yogurts. No waffles or pancakes. Cookies, bottled water and potato chips were free and available on the first night, but not after that. Wonderful location: walking distance to the GO Train! On the minus side, the decor reminded me of a jail cell: white walls, grey/black carpet. Devoid of color and warmth. October 17, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Horribly loud if you are on the side of the pool. We were coming in for just one night. The outer hotel area by entrance reeked of smoke. When we got to the front desk, we were greeted by a gentleman who had the worst accent and I could barely understand him. He gave us room keys and when we went up we noticed that the pool which is located in the center of the hotel was inhabited by 20 or so screaming kids. Luckily we were able to go back down, explain the situation and get a room on the other side of hotel. In the AM, breakfast was poor. September 3, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good location, great staff There is, on the face of it, nothing remarkable about this hotel. As far as the building and rooms are concerned it is all pretty standard. However we did request a room in a quiet location in advance and also advised the hotel of my wife's dietary requirements. On arrival we found our room had been changed from the initial allocation and was indeed in about as quiet a corner as possible. At breakfast we were advised that not only had the hotel bought a milk alternative for my wife to overcome her lactose intolerance but they had also purchased alternative cheeses and desserts should we choose to have dinner in the hotel. The staff were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. All in all, a great stay, thank you August 28, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Unpleasant and staff did not do what they promised I booked a room with King bed. At check in they told me they did not have any King rooms left. I explained that my reservation was for King so obviously there was a mix up. They said they could get me into a king roon the next day. Just have my items packed up and they would move me and to stop at the desk the next evening to determine my new room number. When I went to the front desk the next night the same lady that checked me in the night before said, sorry we did not move you. Thanks!!! The room was warm. The air conditioner was not able to cool the room much below 75 The bed was okay but I have slept in far nicer more comfortable rooms. When I explained my concerns to the front desk all they said was I am sorry to hear that. I expected more given they are in the service industry. August 26, 2013
