Just at the Odessa end of Highway 191, the HI Express allows for rapid arrival at meetings in Midland or Odessa. Location, Location, Location matters most; this one is first rate. They also have a dining room that does breakfast and dinner, which was most welcomed. By far the best asset are the staff who were capable and kind in their efforts to accommodate guests' changing plans. This is a cost-effective great choice for a hotel in West Texas.

Great service at check in. Did not receive offer for free breakfast just a 20% of voucher For Elite member give me a break. Only Holiday Inn in area charging a reasonable rate. The rest are overcharing because of room shortage. Give the business man not in a oil related field a break.

We were in Odessa for the West Tx Guitar Festival. Being a small town we were a little worried abotu the quality of the hotels and service even though we were choosing a brand we trusted. Just like every other one we've stayed at, this Holiday Inn was great! Teh lobby is beautiful and the service was very friendly. Our room was quiet even with the multi-setting club out back. The housekeeping was awesome when we ran out of things by quickly getting us the soaps or towels needed and even giving us a little extra just in case. I didnt feel at all like anyone was annoyed or irritated for asking if I could have an extra towel like I have at other brand hotels. The pool looked inviting, but we didnt go in.
We told the hotel we were there for a concert and they were happy to give us directions as well as recommend places to eat and see while in town. On the way out I swung down to the bar and ordered some breakfast. The meal was fresh...not something that was sitting out or pre-cooked. What a great place to go.

Very dissappointed in the value of this property. The rate is what I would find in Chicago or Manhattan. I was also surprised that breakfast was not included in the extremely high rate.

Oscar and I always enjoy our Stay at a Holiday Inn or Express, but this time was after a really stressful flight with delays and bad weather. We were late getting into the Midland - Odessa Airport and instead of a 3 hour drive we called to see if we could get a room in Odessa. Mary, the night clerk went out of her way to work us in. She was to be commended for the effort she made as it is very hard to find a room in this area on short notice..... M.L.

Had room service twice while in Odessa, Once for breakfast and once for dinner, I had steak for dinner and it was prepared perfectly.
It was the best steak ever from a hotel resturant.
I really enjoyed the Smoking room, it's nice not to have to go outside.
Rates are a little high but what do you expect, it's an oil boom town now.......

Just a comedy of errors.
I arrived just at midnight, to be greeted by a sign saying Welcome "xxx xxx" Platinum member of the day, which made me smile after a very long days traveling - I'd never been greeted like that before. Checked in and was given a coupon for a free drink and then told oh but the bar is closed, given a coupon for the restaurant, and then told oh you just asked for a shuttle bus before the restaurant opens - never mind.
Got my key up to 4th floor, room seemed very noisy when I approached, sure enough someone already occupying. Back downstairs, no real apology, "are you sure?" and then given a new room key. This room empty! Phew
Woke myself up at 5.30, NO WAKE UP CALL AS REQUESTED (some hotels give you your nights charge back for not waking you up). Checked out and was asked how things were. Explained......Did get an apology of sorts, asked if I got any special amenities in my room for being Platinum member of the day only for the lady on the front desk to finish her own sentence by saying that's right you someone else was in your room, and got an offer of a cookie as an apology. Luckily the shuttle bus was on time to get me out of there!
If that's the way they treat their Platinum member of the day - then I pity the mere mortals who try to stay there!!

Overall the hotel isnt bad but the staff needs to be briefed on the rules of Tax Exempt Forms. The hotel is limited in creating it's own policies as these taxes do not belong to the hotel but to the taxing authorities. The hotel acts as an agent. Note to owners: Please ensure all staff is aware of how to process Tax Exempt Forms, where to access these on the web (google search) as some guests may not have, and procedures for check-in and out when using these forms.
THIS WILL SAVE HOURS OF HEADACHES FOR ALL INVOLVED.

My first impression as I walked in was of how nice everything looked. It was downhill from there. They offer complimentary bottled water "in the fridge around the corner" but there were only three bottles and they were on the bottom shelf at the very back. I literally had to get on my hands and knees and partially crawl in to reach one. The next and last night for my stay was the same.
The cleanliness of the room was average at best and the television picture quality was absolutely horrible.
Prices during my stay were $250+/night, which is about par for hotels in that area but makes for a very poor value.
I checked out exactly as the directions said, but at 1230pm I received a phone call asking if I was going to check out because checkout was at 1200pm. I said "yes, I've checked out" and received a rudely toned comment "well thanks for letting us know" followed by the clicking of the phone hanging up.
This is not what I've come to expect from Holiday Inn. I've stayed in Holiday Inns all over the country, and this one was the worst experience for me.

Always stay here while working in the Petro Plex. Staff is on the ball and resturant/bar is very good.

The Hotel is fairly new, appeared reasonably clean and nicely appointed.
On the other hand I found the staff to be rude and very unprofessional. I was surprised to hear one staff member telling what another staff member had said about me.
I will be sure to book my stay in Odessa elsewhere in the future.

I have stayed at this hotel many times within the past 2 years spending thousands of dollars. Last Wednesday my watch was stolen out of my hotel room. I spoke with the manager the day it happened and she was supposed to "look into it." The following day I called leaving her a message because she neglected to call me back. The three days following that I continued to call and still did not receive a follow up call. Today I spoke with Diana and she said "oh yeah, it didn't come up." My $500 dollar watch was stolen out of my room by one of the Holiday Inn employees and she disregarded the whole incident. When I asked her what happens next? She said "I don't really know." I asked her to call me back with the name of the housekeeper that cleaned my room because she has now had 5 days to figure it out and once again I have not gotten a return phone call. I also asked her to have the Area Manager call me, Amber, and still no call back. This was the worst experience I have ever had. I will be following up with corporate shortly.

Stayed at the Odessa Holiday Inn for 3 nights. After we were booked, the electronic locks failed to unlock. The manager, the maintenance and the night manager couldn't get the lock to unlock without the master key. So I would go down, tell the manager, they'd rekey my card, I'd go up and have to call them to come unlock our door.... 5 times.
Secondly the thermostat on the wall would not control the AC unit. So we were in a room with the temp at 64 with the fan going full and then the maintenance man actually pulled the face of the unit off and set it for mild fan with no heat/cooling. The room got hot, so instead of bothering him again I just had to pull the face off the unit and set the temp myself .
The only reason we stayed was because everything was booked and I was obligated to be there for 3 days.

I have been staying at Holiday Inn for over year and half now while working in West Texas. I have never had a bad experience, rooms are always clean and sanitized, the carpets are cleaned often, beds and bedding always made and clean,and the staff has always treated me very well (almost like family) i guess because everyone gets to know you on a first name basis. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the restaurant has good service and great food, not to mention great ice cold beer. I have really enjoyed my stay with them and would also reccommend to everyone. This is my Hotel of choice and will not stay at any other location as long as they have availability.
