Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by KLGreen Customer Service RUINED our Trip
I rate this hotel VERY low simply because of the lack of professionalism and knowledge of procedure by your front desk clerk. My family and I stayed at your hotel this past weekend. Myself and 2 others cousins work for the same company that offer discounts to be used for personal travel. Your clerk told me that there is no way possible that my 2 cousins and I can work for the same company, we have been warned and put on a list so that the next time we check into a Holiday Inn hotel we need to show our work badge. That is not stated anywhere in my company's policy nor have I seen it on the Holiday Inn website. My family stayed in about 15 rooms this past weekend and needless to say, we will not be returning. Our annual family reunion is held every year in Washington, LA and Holiday Inn has always been my hotel of choice. That 1 person RUINED it for us. The rooms were not clean enough or up to Holiday Inn standards. For something to be wiped down with a wet cloth instead of being wiped down with a soapy/wet cloth is unacceptable. The drainage in the tub and bathroom sink is not good at all. I believe this place is understaffed due to the linen not being cleaned properly and as we were getting ready to leave on Sunday, two men dressed in plain clothes were cleaning rooms. Had they knocked on my door to say "housekeeping" I would not have let them in. The front desk clerk that morning told us that the linen is only replaced every other day. That is DISGUSTING. Who wants to sleep on dirty sheets from a stranger. I'm clean and wouldn't want someone to sleep after me. For the price spent, I would have expected a complimentary breakfast. I saw online that breakfast had to be purchased with room reservation, but that needs to be changed. Comfort Suites is WAY cheaper without employee discount and offers FREE breakfast. Some of my other family members stayed there so I know that to be true. The kids enjoyed the chlorine air filled pool room, but what kid wouldn't enjoy a pool. Someone put bubbles/soap in the hot tub. Parking is horrible. Elevator could use a good cleaning and servicing. I LOVE Holiday Inn, but not this one in Opelousas, LA. Had that one lady been a little nicer and the linen clean, I could have overlooked the elevator, breakfast, and pool area. But when you get upset about 1 thing, you look for everything to be upset about because that is the vibe you were given to work with. Her nasty vibe was strong considering we had a PHONE conversation and it wasn't in person. I thank God my mother was able to check into our room before I got there. I probably would have been sleeping in my car if I had to meet her in person.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poolesl1 Worse experience ever!!! My entire family was treated classless
My family came in for a reunion and was treated like thieves, my cousin and I had our company discounts and were called liars. After getting past the rudeness, my bed linens were DIRTY, no other rooms available and Boone avail to change. A man came up after j called 7 times and two hours later to finally change them but he couldn't find all the pieces so i got fitted sheet but not top sheet. Our family comes to louisiana annually we normally stay at other chains but chose holiday inn as a result of a great experience in auburn, Alabama! Not the same not even close. Wasn't wen offered a discount after asking corporate waiting to sleep to get new linens and called a liar, sorry for typos on my phone typing this.
