Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Impeccable and centralize! This Holiday Inn UCF not only was very well located, just steps from the University of Central Florida (literally across the street), but it was also clean, comfortable and the service couldn't have been better. The staff was very cordial and professional. Ms Amber even offered club membership which took effect immediately, which gave us unexpected rewards. As for my family and I, it was a pleasure to stay here. We definitely will stay here again when ever we're in the area. May 8, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean, Comfortable My stay was very comfortable. The room in which I stayed in was very clean. They are ECO friendly and I didn't mind using the same bath towel twice and even 3 times. The location is in the right area if you are visiting UCF or doing buisness in the area. There are many shops on campus and surrounding vicinity. Also, there are resturants, fast foods, and convenient store/pharmacys. As for the breakfast buffet, the food wasn't even warm. But I would recommend this hotel. Mark B May 6, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Always great We stay at this hotel often and always enjoy our time there. The staff is friendly, rooms are clean, and service is great. Especially glad to see Mary back behind the bar. April 12, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by NOT RECOMMENDED I am a priority club member I was a part of a group reservation, however they refused to give me the group rate I made a reservation with much higher rate at the executive level (6th floor) the federator was full of open cans i have to call the front disk to be cleaned the remote control did not work with the TV, a technician came to fix it again the TV was not working they have to reset the TV, the tech came twice to fix it i gave up at midnight when i called the front disk to complain the answer was: (i m sorry i can't give you a discount on the room but i can offer you free breakfast) i said (i did not ask for a discount or a free breakfast, can you switch me to another room) she refused, i asked for the manager the answer was (he will be back on Monday) i asked for the 800 No to complain the answer was go to the web bag to complain by the way when i checked in there was a breakfast tray just outside of my door. they didn't pick it up till the next day I used to prefer to stay at the holiday inn express chain until I visited this location (Orlando UCF, FL ), I did pay high rate for the worst Holiday inn experience April 6, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed The bed and pillows were very comfortable. I like the fact that the executive suite had their own waiting area/lobby. April 5, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Close to UCF I had to attend UCF for an exam I had for school as a distance learning student. The hotel is within walking distance so I did not have to pay for parking. The staff is always so helpful and friendly. I love coming to this location. March 27, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service After a long trip, and airline loosing my luggage, I looked forward a to a quiet night. I had no toiletries, but KIRSTEN was extremely understanding and gave me what I needed. Also the woman in the bar was kind enough to make me a salad and gave me some extras for the evening. Their kindness and service were great--thanks to both. The room was fine, quiet, comfortable and clean. The only "issue" is the exercise room---not enough modern equipment, but the area around the hotel is very condusive to an evening jog. It was a very nice experience. March 27, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by bad hotel i arrived at the hotel after a 20 hour drive. i expect the hotel to be comfortable but that didnt happen i get to my room and it was a non smoking room but the only thing you can smell was smoke and not a good smell. then went back to the front and told them about the room. the second room they gave us looked better but after coming back from dinner tryed to take a bath and couldnt the water would only come out through the bottom. told front desk and they send someone to check then told us they will fix it in the morning. also when we wanted to change the temp the cover would fall and the a/c wont work. went to the front desk and told them i couldnt stay they gave us a different room. i was so tried that i didnt complain about this room but canceled the rest of the stay with them. next time i perfer to stay in a motel then this hotel beside it having problems the price is to high for this kind of service. stay away from this hotel March 19, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly Service Staff was friendly and helpful. Accomodations were very good and clean. Craig the bartender was great. March 13, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice surroundings - restaurant/bar disappointing The front desk was very welcoming and even upgraded us to an executive suite as priority club members when they ran out of standard rooms. Despite a letter in the room claiming otherwise, the heating system was very noisy. They may have been upgrading the rooms one at a time. We arrived a little late, around 8:30pm, and were looking forward to getting something to eat in the restaurant. It was a Saturday night so there was no reason to think it would be closed. But only the bar was open. The bartender was also waiting on tables and had trouble getting orders right and the correct drinks to everyone. The cook seemed anxious to close the kitchen for the night. We have never seen an up-charge before for requesting a certain kind of whiskey for a manhattan! Dinner took almost two hours to order, be served and eat! We were one of about four tables being served. The nice bed felt great after that but we were very frustrated by the dining room experience. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Terrific Service and Helpful Staff! Hector at the front desk is the absolute best!! He is a jewel. All of the women on the fifth floor who keep the rooms clean were wonderfully kind and helpful. This Holiday Inn made our stay a holiday, even though it was work-related. Thanks everyone, you are the best. March 6, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Room for improvement I was at the hotel 11 nights one day there was no hot water 5 days the house keeping failed to provide the shampoo. March 5, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Another Great Stay This hotel is by far our favorite around the UCF area. Staff is friendly, rooms are very nice and the estaurant and bar, especially Mary the bartender, are completely top notch. We always look forward to staying there! March 1, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Internet Be sure to ask on Monday morning what the new Internet access code is for the week. The code they give you on Friday night will not work on Monday. The ironing board and iron in room 534 were old and abused. Definitely should be replaced for a hotel of this caliber. February 8, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Adequate This is one of the Holiday Inns that appears to have been recently renovated, but as is the case with similar recently renovated Inns, it appeared they cut corners on the finished product. Other Holiday Inns in the Orlando area suffer from the same problems. Specifically, in the first room I was in, my shower wouldn't work correctly and the air conditioner was very loud. I asked for and received another room, but there wasn't much difference with the noise of the AC, although the shower was better. BTW, what happened to the famous HI showerheads? Both rooms I was in had some plastic contraption where the shower head should be. Both bathrooms had simple-fix issues (missing caulking, pipe cover plates missing, etc). Staff was nice, location was great. Disappointed, however, with these older Holiday Inns and the lack of oversight on room quality and finish. January 22, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by could have been better We stayed here for one night. Check in went well, but when we exited the elevator we noticed the air temperature in the hallway was fairly warm compared to the lobby. Oh well. Going in to our room- the temperature was even warmer. We turned down the thermostat and left for dinner. Upon returning to our room after dinner we realized the temperature is unchanged. Further inspection reveals the thermostat appears broken- showing the room temp to be 55 degrees. So we turn the thermostat to 50 hoping for some cool air. No luck. By now it is 10:30 p.m. and we are resigned to the fact we'll be in a warm room (estimate 80 deg.) The next morning we go to breakfast and are hit with some nice cool air exiting the elevator on the first floor. Speaking to the desk person, he had no clue the entire second floor was so warm compared to the first floor. No mention of any compensation was mentioned for the inconvenience- but we didn't ask for anything as well. January 18, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Group Experience We stayed at the Holiday Inn University of Central Florida with a collegiate team of 45 athletes for a full week. The staff made our athletes and coaches feel very comfortable. They worked with us to feed our athletes a varied, healthy menu. January 16, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed and great TV Very nice place. Like being able to look out the window to keep an eye on my vehicle in the parking lot. The place was very clean. January 16, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Customer Service Long check-in (only 1 employee with 4 people waiting). Also, two mornings in a row I received wake-up calls that were 12 and 13 minutes late. Both times I was awakened on-time by my personal phone alarm and both times I attentively waited for the hotel wake-up calls. No excuses here. All else was OK. January 12, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Service was really bad very bad management The toilet did not work called front desk they said they would send someone up. 1 hour later , i called again to front desk. She said she forgot i asked if she could change the room she said the mait. man was on his way. 45 min. i called again to front desk, and asked to be moved to another room, she said no the mait. man would be right up. 10 min. later he came in there was no water in the toilet or tank 15 min. later he had it working. My son is at UCF Iwill never stay in this hotel again. I left a comment card when I left no responce. I was told about your hotel on the UCF parents facebook acct. I will be leaving my story for all to read also, I find it funny when you have a parent who comes in town 3 times a month to see his child at school it would mean more to the hotel than the way I was treated for repeat business. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great service, location, and staff. While moving my daughter to Orlando for college, I stayed at the hotel for five days. My room was comfortable and clean. The staff were attentive, polite, and helpful. The restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner. The food is reasonably priced and good. The hotel is centrally located to downtown Orlando, yet quiet and comfortable. I will definitely stay there again when visiting my daughter! January 8, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Ripped sheets, no blanket, and awful beds We are a couple with a young (9) son who booked a king with a sofa bed. Let me tell you that the sofa bed was angled so the feet were about a foot lower than the head and we were told they would do their best to find a blanket for him, but no guarantees. Thankfully at 9:30pm they came through with a blanket. The sofa bed opened so that one side of the king bed was completely blocked. The king bed had a hollow in the middle so my husband and I kept rolling into it and the sheets on the bed were ripped, which since housekeeping was done for the day we were out of luck - so sorry. We will never stay here again. Member recognition consisted of " I see your a gold member, the elevator is located..." January 8, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible smell, lousy service I would never stay here again. i'd even be willing to drive further to NOT stay here. This hotel is old, should be torn down and re-modeled. When I first walked into my room it smelled old, musty, like it had flooded and not dried completely. I decided I would ignore it since I wasn't there to be in the room. Then i saw a hotel employee walking down the hall with 2 fans that are used to take moisture out of rooms and that confirmed the horrible smell. Bathroom drain was rusty. No shampoo only lotion. Mentioned bad smell to front desk no one cared or tried to do anything for me. Next day went to look in restaurant to see what was available for breakfast, there was a huge clump of dirt? grass?mud? on floor, several employees noticed my horrified look at it and did nothing. Not only did they do nothing, they didn't even greet me or try to make me feel welcome. Worse customer service, worse Holiday Inn ever! Really would like my money back!! Oh yeh, my priority club recognition was a cookie! Bit whoop! January 8, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by CLEAN AND FRIENDLY THE STAFF WENT OUT OF THERE WAY TO MAKE MY FAMILY STAY A GOOD ONE. THE WHOLE MOTEL WAS CLEAN AND WELL MAINTAINED . EVERYONE FROM THE BAR KEEPER TO THE MANGERS ,DESK CLERKS AND MAIDS WERE VERY FRIENDLY. THANK YOU January 4, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Value for money but Locked Out Twice!!! My husband and I checked in late on Christmas day (2012) and was promptly assisted with professionalism by Jennifer. The first time we got 'locked out' of the room we had to walk down the long hallway to get to the elevator to replace our keys twice and it did not work. As we were on our way out it was not urgent and we decided to wait until we got back. Later that day we tried it and it worked. The second time we were locked out of our room was one afternoon after we returned to the hotel. We returned with luggage and noticed two female agents standing at the desk - Jennifer and Aston. The minute they saw us approaching the lobby with our luggage they stared directly at us, laughed and BOLTED away from the desk. Of course she 'clearly' did not know we were already staying there but that was very unprofessional. Had it been a case where we were actually checking in, we would've be standing forever at an empty desk until either of them deemed it fit to return. We went up to our room tried the key and NOTHING! Locked out AGAIN!!! We had to stand by the door with ALLL our heavy bags for a good 15 minutes before she sent up maintenance to let us in. Otherwise... I always stay at Holiday Inns and even enrolled in Priority Club. The location was the best, very quiet, close to shopping, food and gas. Please be warned: this was my first time visiting Orlando at Christmas but nothing prepared me for the biting cold!! It was not chilly, it was FREEZING!! I found myself wearing at least three layers of clothing, my face was freezing off, fingers cold. We checked several reports prior to leaving and nothing prepared me for that cold. No it was not just me, I saw both locals and tourists shivering like leaves(big men shivering). It was very quiet and peaceful. At one point I thought we were the only ones in the hotel. The bed was soooo soft and the pillows -quite comfortable and plush! That's always a plus after a long day of shopping at the Malls & Outlets:) Not a fan of the towels...very 'used, worn, harsh' on the skin. If you are use to having a nice soft towel best bring your own. Yes sure it was a much smaller room than the other Holiday Inns I stayed at but it was clean with lots of space to store your clothes and a closet equipped with iron & ironing board. The view was fine for me. That was not why I was staying there. The best thing was being able to get a fridge in the room. That was not part of the package but we paid the extra $10 and it worked out great. Maybe it was the time of year(it was freezing outside!!!!!) but it kept everything cold. course no Microwave and it was previously stated. Still it was a hassle to trek all the way to the lobby to heat up food. How about putting a Microwave on every floor near the elevator???!! That could work. Please note I did not rate food & beverage because I did not use the bar or restaurant services. I am sure it was great because there was always a devine aroma wafting through the air. However, no worries about food. As you drive out of the hotel, food places are everywhere. You can also find, Walgreens, Walmart and Target within 10 minutes of leaving. We did not use the pool or gym. We had a great time! January 4, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Not much in the way of perks. We have stayed at this proporty before and have always been bumped up to the sixth floor as a priority club member. I was told that I needed a platium card for that even though the hotel was half full. Most Holiday Inns buy you a drink and/or breakfast when you check in, here you could get a free cup of coffee in the morning if you were a priority club member. Not a big deal, but those little perks are what makes membership nice. January 3, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Noisy Hotel We have styed here several times - walls are thin and most times the hotel is very noisy making it hard to sleep. Terrible pillows also - but the staff is nice and they try to accommodate you the best they can. January 2, 2013
