Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Back Again Stayed here last week and comments are nearly the same. The one difference was check-in where I was not acknowledged as a Rewards Club Member, but this was a weekend rather than the previous visit which was mid-week. Hotel is still very convenient for visiting Oxford and we will be returning at the end of May. February 3, 2016

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Nice enough, but some problems with the room. Hotel was nice, clean and staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the rooms we were allocated were not what we ordered (were given two sinlges and a double instead of a pair of twins). Also, one of the rooms wasn't ready on arrival and we had to wait some time for it to be cleaned. Also, the film service in the room stopped working and this rather disrupted our plans to relax and watch a couple of family films. January 28, 2016

Despite the location, rooms are very quiet. Newly refurbished rooms have everything you need. Health centre very good as is breakfast. Large complimentary car park. Great value. January 28, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect break away Having never stayed in a Holiday Inn previously I was unsure what to expect, but it was perfect for what myself and my partner required. Rooms, staff, service and food were great, can't fault much to be honest. If I had one issue with the room it was the firmness of the mattress, but this is all personal preference, hardly expecting them to cater for everyone's exact requirements, it was more than adequate, I just prefer a softer mattress that's all. Only a couple of problems during the stay, but both readily resolves, our TV remote broke, but the man on reception was quick to bring up a new one to us and finally I had supposedly been for a meal in the restaurant, which I hadn't, and was expected to pay for this upon check-out, however it wasn't long before they realised it wasn't me that had the meal and all resolved with minimum of fuss. All in all a very nice stay, would certainly stay again and recommend to friends/family. January 27, 2016
