I stayed at the Holiday Inn Oxford with my family and we were all impressed on how friendly and helpful all the members of staff were, from the front desk to the leisure centre, but especially the staff in the bar and restaurant.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Batchpad A good place to stay, if you don't need WIFI
This Holiday Inn is located in a very handy location, with excellent access to the road network and next to the Park and Ride.
The accommodation was to a high standard, as was the food. Our only issue with this Holiday Inn was the cost of WIFI access which we considered to be daylight robbery.

We had a fantastic night's stay. Right from check in the staff were superbly helpful, changing our room to match our requirements. Restaurant staff were friendly and efficient and our evening meal was excellent. other staff around the hotel all had a smile and a friendly greeting when met in the corridor. Room was very comfortable and spacious - we didn't feel at all cramped. I was impressed and would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a value for money stay in Oxford - easily accessible from the Park and Ride just across the car park

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Myfanywy Spacious and Comfortable Room
I have nothing to fault with my stay. I slept well in a clean and comfortable room with bathroom/shower of high standard. The staff were helpful at all times. However, my sister in the opposite room the same night was not as fortunate. The Stag Party kept her awake that side of the hotel until 1pm. and noise in the corridor woke her again at 5am. My advice is to ask for a room (like mine) which is not affected by noise.

First time I have stayed at this particular Holiday Inn hotel largely due to the normal room rates being far too high. On this occasion there was a deal on which brought it within my price range and I must say this is the best hotel in the Holiday Inn brand which I have stayed in and I have stayed in many over the years.
The staff were excellent, the restaurant was good and not too pricey, the bar was relaxing and comfortable even for single travellers such as myself and the leisure club was first class.
Thoroughly enjoyable and as long as they keep the room rate reasonable I will certainly use the hotel again.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Rich82 Excellent hotel!
I've stayed at quite a few Holiday Inn and Express Holiday Inn's and this is one of the best. Polite and helpful staff, clean and relaxing hotel, lovely restaurant with attentive staff, well equiped gym and a pretty secure car park. What more could you want. Extremely handy for the Pear Tree Park & Ride into Oxford. I can't fault the hotel.

Lovely stay, the staff were brilliant, could not do enough. Dinner b&b rate fantastic value for money? Food in restaurant probably the best I have had in a hotel. The rooms are dated, but comfortable. Really good shower even if towels a bit small and toiletries a little bit minimal! Would definitely go back and reccomend.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jinty69 What a great hotel!
We stayed here for three nights late in January and it proved a terrific choice for our exploring-Oxford visit. We'd had car problems on our journey there and arrived later than planned and exhausted. The Front Desk duty manager, Ian, was terrifically welcoming and helpful and proved to be so throughout our stay. In fact, this hotel proved to have the most friendly, smiling, informative and going-the-extra-mile staff we've come across for some time. We had a lovely room - our booking came with an upgraded room which had lots of nice touches such as two armchairs and a very comfortable desk chair, a huge flatscreen TV, good quality toiletries and stylish wooden shutters instead of curtains, which gave complete darkness for a great night's sleep. The Spirit Health Club facilities are excellent. Breakfast and dinner in the restaurant were also well up to the mark, with very good food and plentiful helpful staff. Every day we used the Park-and-Ride into the centre of Oxford - it's only a short walk and the bus service is frequent.. It was a bonus to have our Platinum Priority Club status acknowledged, too, All in all a great stay. We will definitely return to this hotel.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Hsfarrar Does what it says on the tin, another good stay
Always made to feel welcome at this hotel, where the staff are courteous and professional, the service very good, and the facilities second to none in Oxford. Forego the city centre hotels in favour of this with its spacious bar, lounge, restaurant and fab pool and health club. Park and ride is across the car park. I stay for work, but have actually brought family back and used it as a base to explore. Anyone who stays in hotels for business will understand what a testament this is! Only improvement for me would be the cost of wine by the glass, costs more here than an hotel du vin. But 2 or 3 pounds extra on a glass of wine is probably justified given the great value of the hotel. Location also is not beautiful, but very convenient near the motorway and 10 mins from Blenheim as well as 10 mins from city centre via hassle free park and ride clinches it for me.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Intlguest Great service
The hotel has great staff who go extra steps to help a guest, be it in providing local directions, assistance in calling cabs, or accommodations The property is located about 15 minutes from downtown Oxford and is a bit out of the way, though the bus service from the nearby Park-n-Ride is available for a modest cost each way. Overall my stay was comfortable and affordable.
My biggest issue, as an international business traveler, was not a function of this property, per se, but with Holiday Inn UK's decision to not provide any complimentary (or even reasonably priced) internet access at all...no free wifi in the lobby, no dedicated computer in the business area for short term use, nothing. The fees for short term use were outrageous, and greatly in excess of their costs of providing service. Disappointing.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by MalcolmB Good Value
Visited many times and Staff always very helpful. Some times prices can be excessive. This occasion was a 2 nights for price of one, which we have done twice and on this occasion we received an upgrade which made the visit more enjoyable. The downside was that breakfast was not included. The pricing structure meant that to book B & B rate would have doubled the rate for both nights. You can book breakfast the previous evening at a rate that would have equalled one nights stay. It may very well be a good strategy to have a cheaper breakfast rate as the dining room seemed empty on our visit.
Most visitors use the park and ride into Oxford and although not the responsibility of the hotel the walk to the park and ride is difficult. Maybe pressure could be brought to bear on the Council as they now charge for parking as well as the bus ride into the city.
Overall however its good basic accommodation at a reasonable price with friendly staff.

We enjoyed staying in the Holiday Inn. The location was perfect: close to the Park and Ride, and a Starbucks across the parking lot. The swimmingpool with sauna were very welcome at the end of the day. Special thanks to our always warm and friendly breakfast waitress Pranee who made a perfect start of every day for us!

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Mardymadam Not so good this time.
We had stayed here before with no problems.
On this occasion we were on the 4th floor at the front of the hotel.
Unfortunately we were kept awake most of the night while the guests of a party in the hotel used the front terrace smoking area to continue partying until around four in the morning. Even the double glazing did not keep the noise out. On complaining the next morning my email address was taken by the receptionist so that someone could contace me. I am still waiting.
At breakfast there were several guests eating in their nightwear - is this now acceptable in UK hotels ???? It certainly is not for me.
It isn't what goes wrong - its what action is then taken to placate. Unfortunately it seems the Holiday Inn just couldn't be bothered.

We visit Oxford a lot as we have regular business at the University. Got this stay at an excellent rate, but it was worth twice as much! Acommodation, pool, bar excellent. The Park and Ride to the City Centre means no messing around with taxis. Excellent.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Christingle Best night sleep!
I was expecting a high standard of room as I had paid much more than I normally would for somewhere to sleep and a breakfast. However, the room was warm and clean with shutters rather than curtains that cut out any noise and ALL the light! I didn't find a single hair in the bathroom and the Mars bar was a very pleasant surprise, although I had to fight my daughter for it. The staff were very helpful, booking us a taxi and giving directions, and the breakfast was excellent.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Dr23 great location
Pleasant, clean, quiet room; hotel in a great location. Initially staff suggested that a quiet room might not be available - I had assumed that all rooms for which one paid to sleep in would have to be quiet. There was loud, very aggressive sounding "music" being played in the lobby when I arrived which was unsettling. But the room was actually completely quiet and clean and pleasant, with a great bathroom and shower. The hotel didn't have the polish or sophistication one would expect from a hotel. I'd stayed in other hotels in the IHG group - Intercontinental hotels on west and east coast of USA, and they seemed more polished.

My husband and I stayed at the Holiday Inn last weekend for two nights. I was attending a weekend course nearby. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff accommodating. When the service at the bar was slow one of the managers came and helped. One drink only at those prices however. The room was fine and there was no problem with road noise. We were on the second floor but, to us, this was the first floor and their first floor was our ground floor. The hotel is well situated near the Park and Ride. Did what it said on the tin.

We stayed at this hotel for one night. As soon as we arrived the gentleman at reception was excellent and made us feel at home and offered good advice on the locality.
The room was comfortable and the four of us enjoyed a really good meal at the restaurant where the staff were again excellent
We used the Park and Ride into Oxford on the Sunday which the receptionist recommended and found this to be really good.
Overall we will definitely return to this hotel as we thoroughly enjoyed are visit.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Tegsy A Lovely Relaxing Birthday Break
This was the first time staying at this hotel for my wife's birthday and from the moment we arrived we were made very welcome and felt relaxed. All the staff were helpful and courteous and took the time to acknowledge and talk not only to us but to our children. Breakfast was a big hit with the children, with a great range of food, (and being under 12 was free!!), along with the pool, spa and facilities. The bedrooms were large enough and the hotel is in an excellent location for both the city of Oxford as it is next door to the Pear Tree 'Park and Ride' which provides regular buses to and from the city centre, and Bicester outlet shopping village is only a short drive. An ideal place to stay and relax if you want to enjoy the sights of Oxford and the surrounding area. The only negative point for us was that the hotel and rooms were extremely warm even with the air con in the room on for the majority of the stay. I would certainly recommend it to others and will be using again soon.

We had a really happy overnight stay here our two children (who - being under 12 - ate for free). The staff were extremely efficient and helpful and the food was delicious. The spa is particularly good. There was a difficult customer who was shouting at staff but they remained calm and restrained throughout. We were impressed by all aspects of this hotel.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Mikes53 Comfortable hotel, good staff but poor food
The hotel had an issue with no hot water on the Sunday morning we were there, which i understand was mentioned by many. The hotel itself is ideally situated and would use again. The food in the restaurant on the Friday night was not the best we have had in a Holiday Inn, so much so that we took KFC in the next evening. I did report this to the duty staff on the desk.
The chef clearly did has not tried the chips he serves up. Rooms were good

We had a wonderful time here.Stayed for one night as we were attending our daughter's graduation. Our disabled son came along with us and we were made to feel very welcome. We had interconnecting rooms on the ground floor so didn't have to negotiate the lift. This was really stress free so us.(Oten we go to other hotels and find that they have not given my son an accessible room although we always ask).
