'hotel HI Paris Gare de Lyon est esthétiquement démodé, ses aménagements sont à bout de souffle, le confort y est insuffisant, ...
Rien ne justifie les 4 étoiles affichées, et le prix payé.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by BobbyTC Why does this hotel have a 4-star rating?
This hotel has no restaurant, only a breakfast area. The buffet is very good and the area is quite attractive, probably left over from when this was a different hotel from the Belle Epoque era. The service and choice at the bar are non-existent: a bartender is seldom on-duty (no, it's not a self-service bar) and there is no provision for making cocktails. Only straights and highballs are available.
Our room was excellent nice but for two things: the English-language TV choices are nil (BBC, CNN sometimes, and the Russian and Chinese propaganda stations). Plenty of Arabic-language choices though, including a soap-opera channel! The second problem is that the bathroom door cannot be closed fully because the ground-wire for the light switch just outside the bathroom is wired through the doorjamb and attached to the metal door frame from the inside. This certainly would not meet code in the U.S., but who knows in France.
Best thing is: 2-minute walk to Gare de Lyon.
