Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by perfect location, small and dark rooms. friendly staff we stayed at the holiday inn notre dame for 4 nights at the beginning of december 2014. chose the hotel primarily because of its location as a IHG hotel. perfect location, close to lively saint michel and saint germaine de pres- both a stone's throw away. the room we stayed in was relatively small- compared to other IHG hotels we stayed in in Paris- montparnasse, crown plaza, bourgeval, and opera. but most importantly it was very very dark, the lights in the room were insufficient and the room also did not have natural lighting due to its location, but it is only for four nights so was not terribly problematic. the reception staff was wonderful, very efficient and worked tirelessly to solve any problems that might arise. did not use breakfast as the area is full of good brasseries for breakfast. The staff were very kind and caring ensuring all our needs were met or exceeded. Breakfast was definitely worth the price, offering a variety of breads, coffee/tea as well as juices and fruits, cheese, cereals, cold cuts, eggs, bacon, sausage. The staff in the breakfast room worked very hard and diligently to ensure that items were available and fresh. They were all very professional and friendly. December 5, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Modern rooms The rooms were modern and clean, along with a comfortable stay. From the rooms on the higher floors, you can see the eiffel tower! Marvelous view at night. I would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to stay in the area. December 5, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing stay Overall it was a disappointing stay. As a platinum guest, no upgrade and we got a very small room. The bed was comfortable and that is all what was good about our stay. Air con was not functioning well, the toilet seat was dangling, the shower was not practical and the door handle was dangling, the bathroom sliding door wasn't closing well. Two tall men with baggage in such a small space made it really uncomfortable and very cramped up. We had booked this stay 10 months in advance with reward points. When asked what happened with getting an upgrade I was told the hotel was full and that this is the room type I had booked. I choose HI because I expect a consistent service and room size/quality across the world. On this occasion it was a total miss. My advice would be to allow guests to book any type of room with reward points. December 3, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A pleasant Surprise in Paris On Company business i have stayed in most 5 star hotels in Paris. As a retired lawyer and willing to live a new experience in the Latin Quarter area we tried this very well located Holiday Inn and were fully satisfied. St Mitchell metro station is almost in front of the hotel. You can walk to saint Germain,and get around well to all places Paris offers. Nice basic rooms, friendly service. A very good option. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great staff, small room and elevator not working properly Great staff at the reception, very helpful and pleasant. But the room was very small and view to the Eiffel Tower has been very limited. Second time in this hotel and one elevator was not working again at all while the other one partially (You can't go down whit it ) which is not a problem if you are without suitcases.
