Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stay Thank you to the staff of Holiday Inn, Parramatta for their wonderful service and politeness. Having arrived too early to check in, we proceeded with our itinerary, and upon return to the hotel, our room was a few minutes off being ready. The staff provided us with complimentary beverages, allowing us to rehydrate after a busy morning, and within minutes we were given our keys! Lovely gesture. The close proximity of this hotel to the station was ideal for our purposes, and the shopping centre was close too. The room was ideal for our stay, although a tad squashy as the children had to sleep on the sofa, therefore no couch for us to sit on. The King size bed was comfortable and we liked the choice of pillows. Breakfast was our favourite! Great variety of food to get us and the children going for the day. I would hIghly recommend this hotel for future stays in the area. September 23, 2013

From arrival to departure I could catalogue the dissappointments, but just one example, we sat down for lunch at 1:45 after 5 minutes I went to reception and called out for attention only to be told the kitchen closes at 2pm, so only sandwiches were available - never mind got great service and food from the Irish pub PJ's just over the road. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by value for money :) Me and my boyfriend stayed there for one night, a deal found on wotif. We had a massive king bed room, which was perfect. We drove from Melbourne for a quick weekend visit and to come home to that bed and being able to block out all the light was brilliant. The pool and spa was great to have a dip in. We didn't eat at the restaurant because we had little money, but the whole vibe from the hotel was very inviting and comforting. Only issue would be maybe a microwave in the room- my boyfriend found that an issue. Thanks for accommodating us, we will definitely use your chain again :) August 28, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Downtown Parramatta As Platinum IHG Rewards members, we were upgraded to a suite. Our suite was newly refurbished and quite nice. It had a spa bath which was big enough for two. It also had a living room, but the lack of windows here made it a bit dark. Still, it was nice to have two rooms. The bedroom was nicely decorated, though the views of the car park are nothing to get excited about. Service was fine, though not super-abundant or friendly. Australian wages are high and make it expensive for hotels to take on enough staff. The location of the hotel is very good as it is very central to the Parramatta CBD, the railway station and the pier for ferries to the city. August 5, 2013

However, the 27 AD charge for breakfast is outrageous and they only offered a limited buffet for dinner on Sat evening, at a much too high price. In this day and age WIFI should be free for all guests - if you did that you would have my repeat business To charge by the MB or slow to archaic speeds is a complete wind up. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The Spoiling I Needed I have been a lover of Holiday Inn for many years but my recent stay at Parramatta blew me away. Everybody, and I mean everybody went out of their way to make me feel as if I was someone special. The most outstanding of the staff were in the restaurant, I'm a fussy customer, but nothing was too much trouble and all done with warmth and care and the delightful young lady who brought milk to my room was really enjoying her job. I've tried 5 and 6 star but they don't come close to the real caring the people at Parramatta showed. You can give lip service and say all the right things but if you don't mean it you might as well save your breath. As big Arny would say I'll be back'. Thank you for a wonderful couple of days. The room was clean and the ensuite was more than adequate. The hotel was easy to get to and in a convenient location within Parramatta. I will be visting again. Thankyou July 9, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay arrives in Sydney at 08.30 after travelling for 30hrs. arrived at hotel who informed me room could be ready for Noon. so got an early check in so could freshen up. the hotel is a 15-20 minute walk to the centre of Parramatta and the only down side is apart from the hotel bar and reasurant you only have the Irish Bar over the road. staff very helpful and the food at breakfast very good with a large selection to choose from. room was large clean and well equiped. would stay here again June 16, 2013

I travel a great deal in Asia and rarely have to pay anything to access WiFi as it us usually part of the deal for the room (breakfast, WiFi, etc.). Staff were polite and helpful, the bed was comfortable and the room a good size. Some maintenance was required in the bathroom where the 'grab' rails were loose and the floor drain overflowed when having a shower. The location is convenient to shops and the railway station while away from the main road and relatively quite. June 7, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Office for 9 Days We recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Parramatta for 9 days whilst we were working at the Supershow in April 2013. I have to say for a Holiday Inn it has already set itself a high standard. The front desk staff (Aaron) was extremely professional and remembered who I was from a visit the fortnight before. He had our room ready and paperwork already complete. That's the service I receive at an Intercontinental Hotel. Lauren who was one of the waitresses couldn't do enough for you and with a beautiful smile. We stayed in a suite which gave us enough space to work in. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. The hotel has only recently been taken over within the last 7 months and it would definitely have to be one of the best Holiday Inn's I have stayed at within Sydney. May 29, 2013

However if want a quick breakfast downstairs in the dining room forget it. Too many tourist groups have taken over the hotel and you sometimes have to wait for both a seat and the buffet to be re-stocked. Frustratiing for someone on business trips. April 17, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Room booked not available I booked my room with two double beds before I got there. When I arrived to the hotel they told me that my room was not available and the only room they could offer me was with one big bed plus a sofa bed! It was not a good start. I am not going back there. I am usually staying in Sydney in diferrent hotels and I wanted to try this one but my experience was not good. They also don't offer a complementary machine coffee with the buffet breakfast. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent stay in a great easy location I stayed at the Holiday Inn Parramatta a few weeks ago and it was a really fantastic experience. Was greeted with exceptional customer service upon arrival, and throughout my stay the customer service maintained professional and warm. The room was a good size - the bathroom was a little smaller than I had imagined but still had ample space. The bathroom accessories eg. the shampoo, soap etc were to die for! awesome products! :) The food was good, not fantastic, but really high up there. we ordered room service a couple of the times and it was super fast, and lovely staff to deal with. Thank you. Thanks for an enjoyable time away, will defiantely recommend this hotel to all my friends. March 18, 2013

The room furnishings were good, the bed was comfortable but the room lacked a lounge chair. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Ok-ish for price Yes I have recommended this hotel - but given not such a great review, because at the end of the day even though our experiance wasn't that bad for the price we paid... We love the Holiday Inn Hotel chain & this would have to be the most less than desirable hotel we have stayed in. Most of the staff were awesome. The rooms aren't as nice as some of the others we've stayed in - the first room we were put in stunk! (it was clean though) It was a cross between damp/old aircon/gross carpet/last guest smell.... I think it was an old smell. The room we were shifted into had the same smell, but it wasn't as strong - nothing an airfreshner couldn't mask.... The buffet breakfast was alright, again not as good as the others we've visited, one disappointment was no esspresso machine... Also no Gluten Free meal option for Children's meals. And the room service states full service until 11pm - but in reality it finishes before 10:40pm, as we found out the hard way, we couldn't even get an icecream sundae.... My daughter enjoyed the pool & pool area. And the location was very handy! I was quite disappointed with the overall experiance, however it has not put me off the chain, as this was the first bad experiance we've had staying at the Holiday Inn in our family's 15 years of travel - Parra lift your game!
