Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor training and service On booking in I was told they needed my credit card to pay for the room. I took that this had been done as it states this would be done on the booking. On one day in the morning I asked for a taxi to take me to a work place in Eastwood city, I showed the person on the desk the address, they went out to the taxi driver and told them the address to take me to. 456 minutes mater I found I was headed to the airport as the taxi driver was told to go to the airport terminal 2. I was late for an important meeting that morning. On checking out I was presented a bill for the room and food charges, I questioned why I was paying for the room again when I did that on checking in and was told the room had not been paid for that a hold had been made. I asked for the block to be remove so I could pay for the room and have the money back on my card. I was told this could not be done and I would have to wait 10 days for the block on the card to be removed as this was the bank. As I know this was incorrect and a lie I questioned this again. As I was headed for the airport and I did not want to be late I had to pay for the whole room again and have another block of $1000 on my credit card. This is totally unacceptable. Two days earlier I had booked the hotel car to take me to the airport after checking out I was told a taxi was outside. This was not the hotel car but a rough looking taxi. This was totally unacceptable. Your hotel provide incorrect information and poor service!!!!! March 2, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by That's not a Holiday Inn! Its' a Holiday Out! This hotel would serve best as a backdrop for a horror movie! Everywhere in the hotel, inclusive guestrooms only dark wood wall covers! Creepy! When I opened the safe it basically disintegrated! The control panel felt on the floor! I left it there! It was still there when I checked out! Nobody fixed, nobody cares! The entire room was a patchwork of incompetent repair-work and attempts to fix! Impossible to relax! Behind my nightstand and right next to my bed was probably the filthiest and most disgusting switch box I've ever seen. Why it was there and not hidden in a cabinet? I have no idea! My advise: Stay away from this hotel! Unless you like to have it creepy, dirty and old. And if you have time to wait for almost 45 minutes for a simple spaghetti bolognese! It was lunch time and the restaurant was basically empty! Should have been a warning: Don't go there! This hotel needs a complete make-over! Hardware and software! March 2, 2015
